Summary

Game Description

The ferocious killing machine Jack Carver is coming to the Xbox 360 to take full advantage of its next-generation technology. Predator will include both Far Cry Instincts Next Chapter and an enhanced version of the original Far Cry. Now even more enemies can be on the screen at once, translation: more bodies for you to send flying into the air.

Far Cry Instincts Predator - Xbox 360

A little dissaponting to a fan.

When i heard of Far cry for the 360 i was so stoked, i loved it on the original xbox but there were some flaws. First the ragdoll physics were mediocre and the 360 can pull of MUCH better physics. The first game was so so. But the sequel was disapointing, because there were some awesome gameplay ( like in a level where you had to choose where you would strike first and a huge game map) but then it was mostly a linear experience. It would have been better if more nonlinear type of levels were in and more vehicular combat. The story's awesome but it ends in a ' halo 2' moment, a to be continued kind of ending. Still waiting for farcry 3. And it still has that cool build a stage mode, where you model your own fragging grounds. Graphics: awesome water effects, good player models, beautifull scenery. Sounds: gun noises, i would say above average voice acting, good ambient sounds ( jungle sounds etc.) control: i found it a little hard to aim correctly not sure why. But everything else tip top. The fun factor suffers for the reasons mentioned. I reviewed for it's single player.

One of the best games on the PC made it's way over to the 360 with some special gifts. It has a new story mode (along with the old one) and some very nice looking water. Yes, water. This is not the best looking 360 game by far, but the water effects are the best I've seen in a game. Other than the water, it just looks like a higher res version of the xbox version. Why? Did they take so much time working on the water that they completely forgot about making the rest of the game look next-gen? The gameplay is also the same as the xbox version. You run-and-gun, get superhuman powers, ride various vehicles, set traps, and run-and-gun some more. Nothing would be wrong with this had the developers made the game reasonably hard. It is not. It is ridiculously hard. You will die many, many times. Who thinks that's fun? It would be better if they had an easy mode that was actually that (easy to play), but it seems they got lost in the water effects again to do much about that. As with any Xbox/360 shooter, the controls are great. Aiming is as precise as a console will allow, and all the face buttons are well mapped for all of your jumping and reloading. All in all, this is a pretty good game. It could have used a chill pill in the easy mode for people who want to have fun and not destroy about three controllers before the end of the game and maybe more polish to seperate itself from the Xbox version, but the gameplay is so solid that all shooter fans should give this one a try.

great graphics good controls good story.. everything ... xbox has too many first person shooters though...why do americans all always want to play fps... the only corney thing about this game is the fact when you turn into a monster you kill everything easy
