Sonic The Hedgehog

So close...

This game is definitely underrated, but I wouldn't call it the best 3D Sonic game. First off, the story and episodes are well explained, one of the best in a Sonic game.But the game is LOADED with glitches, like getting stuck on a wall, falling through the floor, etc. The camera can also jack up on you at times, which will cause easy death most of the time. The controls are not too good, especially during one of the mach stages. It's hard to turn in mach stages, and you can't control your jump at all. The audio in this game kicks ass. Sonic's theme is probably the best in the whole game. Yes, the game was disappointing for most folks, due to crappy controls and glitches galore. Maybe it would have been a bit better if Sega put more time into it, and would have gotten more respect than today.

... sadly there were many problems with the game.... mainly the glitchy controls and the camera at times.... it was barely OK.... loading times were like a dam chore too.... for a animation like "are you ready? to start an event or b4 a boss ect" took like 10-15 sec to load.... and then again to load back to the other screen.... because of those it almost KO'ed itself right there... i dont understand how they make a crappy game without fixing the bugs and are proud of it.... who the hell's programing the sonic games there? 16 year olds? and i do not even want to start how TERRIBLE shadow the hedgehog was :\
although sonic the hedgehog is a very flawed game the other aspects were just good enough for me to give it a pass.
Let me start off that 99% of the enemy A.I. are dumb as a brick mostly just standing there and wondering if they should shoot you or just stare at you.
The story line was OK, (I never understood how like when this game came out reviewers were like eww a possibility of sonic and that princess having a relationship thing.... sorta.. and how that was weird.... uh dudes its a game from jap. + its a sonic game... like you know its just a story, grow the F up and get over it.)
Then during the gameplay its actually kinda fun once you take out the random glitches like randomly falling off a railing or just skimming a wall and falling to your death. Apart from that its pretty fun just cool going through pretty looking levels and I found it really fun at the parts where it reminded me of the good sonic the hedgehog on parts with high speed and loops.
I wouldnt recommend this for other gamers, but like me (a sonic fan since the genesis) i guess you'll play through this deformity of a game (and a lot of patience and grinding teeth)
and end up slightly liking the game a bit for what it is. (just like ugly dogs.... some are soo ugly their kinda cute)
And thats what my review of this game is.

and I just hope Sonic Unleashed will be good (but the werewolf form with stretchy arms is a bit dumb.... if it was up to me i would have made sonic's werewolf form more hulk-like. He would move faster and would be able to ram and smash through things... not move at a kinda slow pace with arms flailing and stretching)
But other than that it looks good.... and hopefully sega has a chance to redeem itself from the last 5 (prob more) years of crap (cept for the 2D games).

Do not waste your money on this game. The game was to difficult like silver's level in the pyramid with the giant balls. that was freaking hard. And also, why would sega make sonic die?!?!?!!?!?!?!?!?!??!?!?!?!??!?!?! It would be normal if like rouge died and they revived her but sonic? The worst thing about this game is when the camera moves around and i couldn't see sonic or silver or shadow or whatever! The good thing about this game is the music and graphics. His world is genius and at the end when they were fighting solaris that song was awesome. I suggest that you should only get this game if you are a die-hard sonic fan

YES! THE ULTIMATE SONIC GAME!

See, Sonic's been in my family for years, so,Yes! The best game ever. I loved it. Graphics and everything. I play it everyday, and never get tired of it! It was fun, but, I just can't seem to get past Sonic's Story, Kingdom Valley. Oh well. Silver's voice, everyone's gotta complain, eh? WONDERFUL! I loved his voice! Cute, and little. In japanese, Silver sounds a little like Shadow. But, hey, I like how Pete Capella does it. Silver's story, was the best. So entertaining, and exciting! Iblis Trigger, so fun. The game has won my heart. SEGA did extremly grand on this game! I cried in some parts of his story, lie when Amy left him, he didn't know really what to do, so, as sensitive as I am, I cried. Shadow's story, Eeh, it was okay, but, that's just because I don't like Shadow much. Sonic PWNS Mario in various ways. I hope Sonic Lives forever. GO SONIC FANS! GO MARIO HATERS! Sonic = Love! Mario = HATE....
