Nazis Don't Stand A Chance
I am a big fan of war games, and when I play them, I look for action, weaponry, and overall gameplay. The action is intense and a bit challenging. The weaponry, for me, was a bit lacking. You can only hold 2 weapons at a time, and to be honest, they felt a bit weak. Overall, I was satisfied with this game, and hope there will be a sequel or 2.

Good Idea
First off I must say that THQ had a good idea with the whole buying system. I was able to use it easily and it ended up being a really enjoyable experience. However, the graphics really made me mad. It is better then current gen, but isn't next gen material. I look at this and then oblivion and it makes this seem like an xbox game. The single player (or coop) mode was fun at first as i got used to the unique style of gameplay, but after a while I found it to be dull and repetitive. The story also was very dry and wasn't even really worth watching. One thing I did really like about this game was the multiplayer. Playing side-by-side with a friend watching as my tank blew his defences away was an awsome sight. The Outfit tryed for some new gameplay and if they made some improvements to the single-player and the graphics it would be worth buying.

Half of a Good Game
Every now and then there comes a game that looks and sounds so good that the thought of it being less than spectacular seems like a joke: but then it turns out to be a waste of time. That's exactly what "The Outfit" is. "Mercenaries meets Call of Duty" seems like a mixture of games that can't possibly end up bad. Add in the comic mentality of the story and dialogue and you can't miss. Sadly, Relic did miss. The graphics were good, blowing up stuff was nice, shooting nazis is always fun, but the vehicle controls stopped the whole show. Trying to drive a jeep in this game is actually harder than it is in real life. Trying to get a bead on the enemy while dodging bullets is way harder than it should be, especially given the game's cartoonish feel. This gets even more frustrating because a lot of the game is meant to be played from behind the wheel. Why didn't the developers make the game funner and their work easier by just taking the vehicle controls from "Halo" or "Mercenaries" and appling them to this game. It almost seems as if they sabotaged their own game. I really wanted to like this game. I played it for several days trying to get use to the driving, but I couldn't. It could've been so much fun if they had made blasting people on wheels as fun as shooting them on foot. All I can say is thank God for game rentals or I might have wasted $60.

The Outfit
Though a bit rough around the edges in places, The Outfit's fearless fusion of action and strategy pays off in a big way. It's engaging, it's addictive, and it's ferociously one-of-a-kind.
