This is probably the best game for Xbox thats out. It has the best graphics out in my opinion and it came out all most 2 years ago. The story mode is really addictive and i beat it at least 20 times. The more you beat it the more you will understand it. The only problem i had was the story left many question but since the second one is coming out in 11 days i hope those questions will get answered. It has great audio and AMAZING visuals that i cant even explain. Then the action is just unexplainable. There is no other game like it. You get to chainsaw people, blow up people, and fry them with a laser that comes from the heavens above. It is a must have for true gamers with an Xbox360. There is no reason that this game shouldn't be in your game library.

I borrowed this game from a friend upon hearing how short it was. It may be a short game, but it is one amazing adventure for the time you play through it and multiplayer keeps the game fun for months. I went out and bought this right after I beat it. It's a big budget, high quality action adventure, and what it lacks in story telling, it easily makes up for in sheer badass-ness.
Story: You are Marcus Fenix. The human population is being decimated by the Locust horde and you and your ragtag gang of roided up war machines are out to take planet earth back!
Graphics: This game has been cited many times for beeing one of the, if not best looking games of out time. It still hold up today even though it was released over a year ago. Characters are superbly detailed and the environmental details show you how war torn the earth has truly become.
Sound: So so voice acting mixed with lots of explosions and gunfire all over the place. Music sets a good tone. You can almost hear humanity's desperate cry.
Gameplay: This is a 3rd person shooter that employs great use of environmental cover. You often have to hide behind objects and fire over head to survive the constant onslaught of the locust. Your gun also has a chainsaw a equipped for some gruesome, violent kills. Multiplayer is a black doing the same thing, but now against your buddies!
Overall: This is a defining game for the xbox 360 and it should not be missed!

While there are some things that are not the best, it is still a great overall game. The campaign may not have the best storytelling or dialogue, but it is awesome. The story is original and not overly confusing. The online is very, very addictive. I have been playing it constantly for a year and a half. I have played it more than all of my other games, including Halo 2 and 3, and Call of Duty 4, combined. The weapons are some of the best in any game. There are not a vast lot of them, but they are tight, balanced, and awesome. A crossbow that shoots explosive arrows? A machine gun with a chainsaw on it? A sniper that can blow someone's head off? Tell me that's not awesome. It introduces new concepts, like active reloads and balls to the walls violence. This game has its flaws, but it is still a gem.

Easily the best Xbox 360 shooter ever! Sorry Master Chief move over for Marcus! Buy or rent.....wait just buy it and I guarantee you you won't be disappointed with this one!

I was one of those people who waited until the price drop to buy Gears. It is a mistake I will not repeat with Gears 2, as this game has badass written all over it!

Graphic: As I'm sure you've all heard, Gears is often being cited as one of the best, if not the best looking game so far, this generation. The chracters are chock full of detail, as are the big environments. All of the enemies have a great, creepy, detailed look. Even the weapons look awesome. This is where it's at.

Story: The locust horde have taken over and humanity faces extinction at the hands of them. It's up to Marcus Fenix and his group of comrades to take them down and save humanity!

Sound: Pretty good voice acting, but the real star is the overall sound of chaos. The sound of the Krill buzzing down to tear you to bits. The guns sound exceptional as well.

Controls: controls like a dream, nuff said. Ducking, covering, and shooting are easy as pie.

Gameplay: This is a thrid person shooter, which usually isn't my thing, but man it works great for this game. It's even fun to get killed because the death animations are so awesome! The cover system is great and it never get old to chainsaw down a Locust. Great,

Overall: One of the best 360 games you can own. Unless you have a thing against intense violence, then you better go get it! It's at a reduced price now as well!
