Could of been better

Pros: The action can get really intense at times which draws you into the game, (think Dynasty Warriors). The controls work really well which is good considering all that fighting you'll be doing.

Cons: The storyline is basic and as cliche as it can get. This is basically a Dynasty Warriors game renamed. Graphics are average at best. Dying and having to restart the entire level all over again is just plain annoying.

This is basically a straight up action game which doesn't focus on the storyline very much as its cliche. But then again, with the massive number of video games released over time, ideas are bound to get reused. The game is

Great Hack and Slash

It has a decent story and decent graphics. The game, in my opinion, is great. It can be difficult at times, but it is overall fun.

Button Mashing

Nintey-Nine Nights had potential but it had way to many problems to make it a triple A title.First off the combat is lame its just countless button mashing and i guarantee you will go through at least one maybe two controllers by time you beat this game. The A.I isn't that good the basically just stand there and wait to die. There are alot of invisible walls in this game preventing you to look around which sucks. But the graphics were pretty and the copntrols and sound were good but these problems make the game boring and overall not that good.

N3 : perfect gift for the devil inside

there are games which are piece of art. they will make you lie back, think and make you to choose your next move very carefully.. and then there are games like ninety nine nights(N3)which will make you forget that you live in the 21st century. it will make you mash the buttons of your precious x360 like never before and make you forget your human needs. all these and more but only for the first few hours that you play the game... how do i know? because i played the game.. The game starts off with a nicely rendered C.G. movie that introduces you to the various characters and the huge trail of destructions they can leave behind and also the ultimate bad guy in a pretty shadowy way. then the actual fun starts. the first character you get to play with is imphyy. a templar knight, her favorite weapon is a sword. just as the game starts one is bound to be blown away with the gorgeous graphics and the scale of the environment. the adrenaline pumping sessions start just from the word go and you have to mow down thousands of enemies as they come charging at you. yeah, i forgot to mention that although you get 2 flanks of your own they can serve as nothing but as distractions. so one would do best to send their enemies to kingdom come by oneself. as you keep on killing enemies you collect red orbs. as you fill up the red orb meter you can launch your special power which is very much useful in taking down huge armies. killing with this power in turn fills up your blue orb meter. when full it can be used to take down the whole battlefield in one go, so use it carefully. one irritating aspect of the game comes up during the boss battles. the boss sometimes simply refuses to take your strikes and then takes down huge amount of your health by their own set of combo. and once you die you again have to start from the scrap, no checkpoints. which means you lose all the experience, items and pieces of your sanity. but the worst part of the game is its repeatetiveness. after a few missions the lack of variations make the killing of thousands of enemies sound more like a chore rather than fun. also the leveling up, adding new weapons, and gaining new powers does not make any astronomical difference in your gameplay. all in all N3 is not a bad game. the huge production value covers up for most of the flaws of this game. but some basic flaws stops it from becoming a great one. go for this game at your own risk. it is not a happy journey all the way.
