Need for Speed: Most Wanted - Xbox

Another Need for Speed. Cops and fast cars

EA just can't stop making these NFS titles can they? Oh well, at least they put the thing back in that made the originals so fun, the police. They also kept the free roaming world in. With the free roaming, you can have some insane pursuits going on for a long time. The story starts with a unnamed character driving into the city of Rockport(the main and only city in the game) On the way into the city, the character meets up with a women named Mia, who challenges you to a little street race. At the end of the race you are cut off by a cop named Cross. He's in charge of an anti street racing pursuit unit. After this very long and beautiful(the graphics are extraordinary) cut-scene, you take control and win a few races. Eventually you go against a guy named Razor, in this race, it turns out that Razor sabotaged your car and you lose the race and to add insult to injury Razor takes your car. Cross shows up and throws you in jail, but you don't stay there very long because it's kinda hard to go to jail on the charge of street racing without you actually having a car. Once you're out of jail, Mia shows up and takes you to a car dealership to buy yourself a car and start getting up in the world of street racing. As I mentioned earlier, the cops are in this NFS so they will occasionally intervene during races and sometimes they'll try to bust you when you're just driving around the city. I also mentioned how beautuiful the graphics were. One reason for this is the fact that none of the human characters are computer generated. They are all just digitized people put into the game. Ok, so enough about the game, and more about gameplay. The controls in this game I believe to be great for example, the right trigger is aacceleration and the left trigger is reverse. Sadly though, this game is not very long if you just do all the missions to progress in the game, but if you take some time off from the main mission base and just have some fun with the police pursuits, you could easily get extra hours of gameplay out of this game.

Need for Speed: Most Wanted - Xbox

Need for Speed: Most Wanted is a must have!

Need for Speed is one of the best driving/racing franchises in the video game industry. That excellence is potrayed in yet another installement in the series with Need for Speed: Most Wanted. I have to say, this is a must have for any fans of the series, people who enjoy driving/racing games, and gamers in general. This year's career mode is not only challenging but also rather enjoyable. It once again leads you deep into the street racing world, winning races, running from cops, and having a whole hell of a lot of fun doing it. You get a pretty sweet car at the beginning until you are beaten by a rival racer. Starting from scratch, you have to climb a list of top street racers to get your car back. The Blacklist contains 15 racers you have to defeat. Every rider has certain figures you have to reach to take them on, such as the number of races won, milestones met, and bounty reached. Your bounty is basically how many points you gain by fleeing from the cops and escaping them. This is very difficult, as the numbers you have to reach get higher and higher every time. The catch is, after you beat a rider you get to pick from three random slips. If you get the pink slip, you get to take the defeated racer's car for your own. My personal favorite feature in the game is the ability to make your own cars. Making the coolest, most juiced up car can keep a person busy, and this game is no exception. The number of cars you can customize and buy get larger as you move up the Blacklist, as you unlock cars with each spot you move up. You can customize the parts of your car like the body, the spoiler, and the rims. The performance can also be changed, like the engine, transmission, and tires, and of course the color of your car can be changed. Don't forget to add flames and stripes to top off your decked out ride. Overall Need for Speed: Most Wanted deserves a solid 5. With multiplayer added on top of all the other game modes, Most Wanted is one of the best installments in the series. Addictive, fun, and challenging makes this game the complete package.
