MVP Baseball 2005 - Xbox

Long Live MVP Baseball!

Baseball games are tough because they can be long and boring at times especally on the pitching end. In addition to that it seems like its more luck than preperation at times. However MVP Baseball 2005 might not have the next gen graphics like the new baseball games. Neither does it have the realisim and physics of the latest sleeper MLB 2k games. But MVP is the most fun you will have on the virtual diamond. The recent MLB the Show games have copied EA's brillant pitch meter but nothing currently is as great as the pitching meter in MVP 2005. The hitters eye its fun because offspeed pitches are in diffrent colors while the pitcher winds up so you can get your timing right. The better the pitcher the less you will see the color of the pitch. The throw meter for feilder also makes every throw fun and intense. If your 360 red rings like mine did and u still have a older gen ps2 or xbox this is a great buy. Owner mode is fun and gives you the goal to build and awesome stadium or at least thats why i played it. This game is much more fun filled than any current game on the market.

this game is fun just not one of my favorite baseball games i have played. i like the newer ones on the 360. and this has bad graphics sometimes and i like the newer graphics. but i still like this game even if it is a bad game. it is still fun to hit homers and get some rbi's it is still a good game to play on the xbox.

Awsome game

MVP baseball 2005 is greatly one of the best baseball games ever. the graphics are the ultimate and the gameplay/ realistic is the best ever. the ball doesnt go through the bats or the gloves like in the previous baseball games. the players cant run through each other. its amzing!

Not THAT Good

Well, I heard a lot about this game but couldn't get my hands on it, because it was always rented. I did find, however, ESPN MLB 2K5, so I tried it first, then when I played MVP, I felt so dissapointed. As a true baseball fan, it couldn't get any worse. I felt I was playing the same old baseball game with skinny weird looking guys and obsolete un real animations. Maybe if I hadn't played ESPN Baseball, I would've liked it. But not having the nice commentary, extremely real cut scenes and animations, really made this game score low on my charts.

Dont buy the game just because it's made by EA!

When I went to the game store the day MVP and ESPN came out, I wasn't surprised to see that MVP was sold out while ESPN wasn't. What I was surprised about was how bad MVP truly is. Sure they give a load of features but its all wrapped up with extras you dont need as well. I really dont care for running the AA farm teams of the Kansas City Royals. I love managing teams but the game is a little TOO in depth! I am also disapointed by the terrible graphics!!! Everything looks so damn fuzzy that it reminds me of playing Ken Griffey's Baseball on N64...All and all, the only thing I can say thats a plus is its online capabilities but they arent up to par with 2K's system for ESPN Baseball. If you want a game you can easily pick up and play plus will be a lot more fun, do yourself a favor and go get ESPN Baseball...and oh, you'll also save 10 bucks too!
