Summary

Game Description

Blinx 2: Masters of Time & Space by Microsoft for Xbox is a 3D action-platformer that gives players control over both Time and Space. Just like using a VCR remote control, players can slow down the action, pause, review, fast-forward, record, and even combine them in various situations. As the story unfolds, players also step into the role of the enemy pigs to gain control of the space continuum in a variety of stealth missions. Using customized characters, players can also choose to battle one another in Battle Mode or team up in two-player Cooperative Mode.

Blinx 2: Masters of Time & Space - Xbox

Much, much better than the first

I played this game shortly after playing Blinx: The Time Sweeper. This game fixes just about every flaw the first game had. The gameplay is far superior to the first game. You can run or jump while sucking up trash, gold, time gems or medals. The time limit is gone completely. You are still timed on the stage, but you are not penalized if you take too long. Targeting enemies was also added to this game, so you become more lethal in your trash-slinging. The time controls are also better. Instead of pressing (B) to activate time controls, you use the D-Pad to select the appropriate time control and press (X) to activate it. This allows for more fluidity and speed. This game also allows you to play the Space-controlling pigs of the Tom- Tom gang. The game is unforgiving on both sides, but seems to be a little harder for the Tom-Toms. As a Tom-Tom you have to avoind Time Sweeper Sentrys, carry treasure and solve the customary logic puzzle. This make the game more fun because you are not just playing on one side. The downsides of the game are: you cannot choose if you want to play as a Time Sweeper or a Tom-Tom. You play one mission as a Time Sweeper and one as a Tom-Tom and it alternates throughout the game. The other ownside which is the only major thing I can see wrong is that there are no savepoints in the missions. If you lose all of your replays (Time Sweeper) or lose your life (Tom-Tom) you go back to the checkpoint. At any time if you leave the mission and start over, you start the mission over from the beginning. This makes the game a little tougher, and takessome of the fun out of it. If you get past a really tough part and have to shut of your Xbox, you have to play thatpart all over again. Aside from these, this game is fantastic.
