fun game
Yes, this game is a few years old, but I'm still having a blast playing it. This is the first MLB game where Ive seen you can also control the AAA and AA teams as well.

How could you not love this game!
Now im no baseball fan, but this game makes baseball seem like a fast paced in your face out of control nail bitting hoping i can get that triple type of sport. But really in reality its not, but luckily EA Sports made this game an incredibley fun game all the way down to the Home Run Derby, which is really a face off between you and the oppenent at the same time! Talk about fun, but besides everything being perfect i wish that when my rosters were a little less than what the game wants, it completly changed all my players and stuff. That make me angry, but the game is flawless, get it, GET IT NOW!

A big step up
MVP Baseball 2004 This game is a very good game. You can spend hours and hours playing this game. It has alot of nice touches to it. And i feel if you want a baseball game based on realism. MVP is the way to go Graphics- 8/10- The game has a real nice look to it. The graphics are crisp. And the players actually look like real players. Some extra cool things added were the dirty uniforms. If you slide alot, the uniforms will get dirty. And the dirt will fade away later on in the game. As long as you dont slide anymore. And the replays look just like live footage. Not exactly, but close. The baseball actually touches the bat. And the ball goes in the glove. Gameplay- 9/10- This game is real fun. You can spend hours trying to get MVP points. There any many unlockables. Ranging from Historic Uniforms, Stadiums and players. And its real fun unlocking a historic player. And then playing as him. (Nolan Ryan) (Fastball 102). Real fun. The batting and pitching is also real fun. The pitch speed meter is a real nice touch. You dont want to use all of the pitchers energy on ever pitch. His stamina will go down. And batting, you need to swing wisley. Theres no more of that outside pitch, swing earily, get a hit stuff. Unless your lucky. The game is real fun. And if your a die hard baseball fan. Theres a 3 season dynasty. Have fun;) Overall - 9/10- All and all. I think if your looking for a realistic baseball game. And can spend hours on your machine. MVP is the way to go.

The best baseball game out
When EA Sports made the decision to dump Triple Play Baseball and start fresh with MVP, there was some uncertainty as to what kind of product we'd get. This year's edition cleans up some of the problems of last year's game and moves MVP to the forefront of the baseball market, easily surpassing every other competitor. The pitching and throwing mechanic returned, the batting has been fine-tuned, and the fielding cleaned up a bit. Add to that a huge Dynasty mode and you have one whale of a game sitting in front of you. Hitting is never to the point where it's too easy, especially on higher difficulty levels, and pitching requires actual thought and reflexes. Throw a curve at the same point in every at-bat and the AI drills it for a base-hit. Swing at too many pitches out of the zone and the AI will continue to throw 'em just out of the zone until you adjust. If there's one gripe, it's that the AI fielding can still be a bit sketchy. I've seen a few instances where an easy double play was to be had, only to watch one of the infielders hold the ball and barely get the lead runner out. It's a minor thing at best, and usually benefits you. The Dynasty mode is unreal. You can play any of the minor league games on the schedule before playing the major league game, which adds a little bit of depth to the game. Having your full AAA and AA rosters at your disposal makes managing the team interesting, if nothing else. I'm not sure about the dynamic of keeping players happy, but it's still early to see how that unfolds. Other modes include the homerun showdown where you face off with another player to try and hit homeruns, but with a twist. You're scored based upon how far the ball went, so if you don't hit a homerun, you can still win. Hitting a homerun nets a bonus though, although hitting a ball foul or missing a pitch costs you points. The game is well-rounded though and is a must-have for anyone who's serious about their baseball.
