Looks like fun on the outside, but not on the inside
This game is probily on my most top 20 most hated. I thought it was cool when I saw the cover but when i started playing it I acomplished the game in about 10 playing hours non stop. Don't get me wrong but this game just falls under that "I wish I never bought this game; man I'm such a dummy 4 getting it!" and thin you kick your self. I never got 2 really enjoy combat (figsical contackt) games. If i did enjoy these games I would have rated it about 4.0 too 5.0. Sence I don't really don't enjoy these games I rated it a 1.5. I don't mind playing these games, but I don't conseder it a relaxing game unlike halo and halo2. I don't mean 2 affend those who find it fun and relaxing I just don't conseder it fun And relaxing.(I don't really like gorey games like that ,and don't call me a wimp because I can kick your butt at that game; I know every combo in the game, I also know every stage and person that their is.)

It's a good game on the surface.
When you first begin playing MKD you'll love the looks and sounds of the game. When I bought the game, I was very excited about playing it, and the beginning movie only made me want to play it more. That all changed when I found that a big chunk of the game was locked and you could only unlock things in Konquest mode. At seeing this I just shrugged my shoulders and dived into Konquest mode. On the surface it looks like a basic role playing game, but that's only on the surface. You are forced to learn almost EVERY characters moves and combos as you make your way through the different MK realms collecting colored koins to open the krypt which holds all the goodies like characters and bios, costumes, art and little movies. After spending the better part of the day collecting koins I opened a koffin with alot of koins only to be rewarded with a staff photo. STAFF PHOTO?? what kind of crap is that??? No offence to the MK staff but I didn't pay $50.00 to see your faces. Some of the hoops you have to jump through to get certain characters are almost insane. One example would be go to "this location" at "this time" on "this date" in some little cave on a certain realm. My GOD in heaven what where they thinking?? I did what anyone who values their sanity did...I used a cheat sheet and did in about an hour what would have taken me alot longer without it. The other two MK games (puzzle fighter and chess) are merely ok, and you can pretty much beat the computer without much effort. Puzzle fighter is basically a klone of the Street Fighter version and the chess is just regular MK fights with alittle chess thrown in to break it up. Though the spell list you get to use is pretty fun. All in all it's your basic MK with alot of flash and bang but sorely lacking in substance. You would be better off waiting for the price to drop or get it used.

Halleujah!
I played it over at the Halo Tournament over at Gamestop last week, and haven't been on the damn computer to rate it, so here goes. The graphics are the first thing to catch your eye. It makes the whole experience look real, as it should. Controls are easy once you get used to them, but one thing I noticed on Deception was NO IMPALING! I thought it made it a much better match without the impaling, 'cause once you wound up with a Kori Blade in your gut, it's all said & done. Without the impaling, it just seemed better. Sound is okay in a sense, but I didn't really care about it that much. Seeing Sub-Zero pound away with his brand new throw, I really didn't have time to hear anything else. It's definately better than Deadly Alliance, I suggest you pick this 'un up.

Pretty good.
I think this game was very original. It has three new modes of "kombat". Chess Kombat is a good blend of chess and Mortal Kombat. Puzzle Kombat, where you pick your character and kick their a** Tetris style. Then theres Konquest. An action adventure view on the MK universe. But it lacks story and is relitivly short. Most people will beat it in 3 days or less. Graphics: 5/5 stunning Sound: 4.5/5 pleasing Controls: 5/5 smooth Gameplay: 4.5/5 addictive

Better than the last one
This game is way better than the other one and it is worth buying. Konquest mode is a million times better than deadly alliance konquest, better people, better graphics, better finishing moves.
