Tenchu: Return From Darkness - Xbox

*ten...chu* ...bless you.

It is true that this Tenchu release differs with previous Tenchu titles in as much as it has a new title! That said, I don't see any other Tenchu game released for the Xbox so let's think of the fans who may, for whatever reason, not have their other consoles anymore! Tenchu: Return From Darkness is as entertaining as stealth games are ever going to get. The graphics of 16th century Japan are beautiful, especially with the rain of Ronin Village. The sound is as one would expect from such a game and complements the gameplay experience. The multiple stories you can choose to follow, although basic and simple, are enjoyable enough to play through following on nicely from where the preceeding Tenchu game left off. On top of all this the game perfectly reaches those in need of humour to make you chuckle, as you crouch no more than a finger's distance on the staircase as a mindless ninja stares in your general direction without wondering what that human-looking object brandishing a samurai-sword is doing no more than a finger's distance in front of him on the staircase. Shrugging it off as his imagination, he turns to walk away only to discover that the human-looking object is in fact a human and that a samurai-sword against the throat only results in a serious need for strepsils. The game is a great addition to any Xbox collection and is a must-have for anyone fans of the series or of stealth games in general. The only thing that really drags the game down is getting used to how the camera functions. Even when one has accomplished this fun-reducing task, it still tends to get in the way abit. Other than that, this game will garuntee to keep most gamers entertained for hours on end.
