Xbox has several franchises that are exclusive to it alone. Halo is one that stands above the others. Just after Bunjie's brainchild comes Project Gotham Racing. This is Bizarre Creations' second offering of its PGR series. PGR2 offers about 100 cars to choose from. From the common Ford Focus to very rare and pricey Ferrari Enzo. The visuals are unsurpassed by any racer of its time. The races occur usually through city courses. You get nice views of the cities in the backgrounds. Chicago and its tall structures stand out. The controls of this arcade racer are great. Do tricks(like sliding) or stay untouched damage for points called "kudos points." This game is most fun in multiplayer mode. The sound adds to this gem of a racer. The roar of engines and grating of tires truly bring the feel of racing to you. The music includes about 100 varied tracks. Also you get to play your own custom music. Yes.

Like a superb sports car Project Gotham Racing 2 leaves the competition in second place. This is truly an amazing racing game.

good racing game controls rock i havent seen sucj a good game before u can unlock lots and lots of cars will take u at least two to three month to really finish. i really really recommend it

Definitive racer for the Xbox.

Xbox gamers finally have a good racer to compete with the likes of Gran Turismo. I picked this game up a week or two after I got my Xbox after reading a few reviews, and I have to say its better than I thought it would be. The showroom is the coolest place in the game, and the first time you walk around it you'll probably go into shock at the sheer number of cars. Despite that, you'll notice that all 105 of them are beautifully modeled and accurate. The tracks are also equally pretty. This game also has an impressive amount of music (although some of the songs are out of place in a racing game) but I was a little dissapointed with the sound effects. Most of the cars (i.e. Viper, Mustang Cobra) didn't have their signature engine sounds. In fact, it seemed like there were only 10 different engine sounds for 105 cars, but it isn't a big part of the game so it doesn't affect my score. Controlling the cars is kind of a love it or hate it thing since the physics are more realisitic than usual, but this is a good challenge for anyone thats used to being able to turn 90 degrees at 150 MPH in Super Racer X. If you can get good at this game, you'll be good at any other racing game. Project Gotham 2 has a lot going for it, from a near-endless single player mode to the fun split screen multiplayer and Xbox Live, plus the downloadable cars and tracks that should be coming soon. This is a worthy purchase if you own an Xbox and are a fan or racing games, and its only $30 bucks.

Project Gotham Racing 2 is worth the money you will spend on it. There are so many different tracks and cars to choose from and xbox live is great. When racing the game runs smoothly and the sound is great not to mention the damage you can do to you car if you wreck. The last race of the Kudos World Series is the best of all! I can't stop racing on it. If you plan on buying the game I strongly recommend it. The simulation takes a few races to get used to, but once you do you just can't stop playing.
