Game Description

Legacy of Kain: Defiance by Eidos for Xbox features both Kain and Raziel as playable characters in all of their blood sucking and soul devouring glory. They are pitched against the Hylden; a force so evil that these two embittered rivals must unite. Taking on the role of Kain and Raziel in alternating chapters, you must battle through a world loaded with conflict and intrigue in order to defeat the dark forces that threaten to condemn the land of Nosgoth to eternal damnation. Defiance focuses much more on combat as Kain and Raziel confront hordes of monstrous enemies in fierce, fast-paced battles. The new "telekinesis" feature plays a fundamental role in deepening the combat system, level, and puzzle progression.

The Best in the Saga

Defiance takes the series to new levels, making up for the lackluster Blood Omen 2, and the less than perfect Soul Reaver 2. Defiance brings many of the stories secrets to light and answers many of the questions posed by Blood Omen 2. But not all is revealed, and new questions that leave just enough of a thirst for a sequal to warrant one. The controls have also been tweeked. With an advanced combo system the battles have become faster and bloodier, and the new powers that Raziel and Kain can wield alow for some 'interesting" new kills. My one gripe is the camera, hopefully the team can fix it for the next in the series.
