Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon: Island Thunder by Ubisoft for the Xbox is a stand-alone Xbox campaign disk for Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon. Both new recruits and seasoned vets who earned their stripes playing the original Xbox game will enjoy the camaraderie of the shared battlefield. Xbox Live soldiers can experience the intensity of the front lines side-by-side with their battlefield brothers while covering each others' backs and calling out commands using the Xbox Live Communicator headset.

Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon: Island Thunder - Xbox

Can't put it down

Great Game! At first, if you have never played any of the ghost recon games previously, it takes a bit of getting used to. At first, if you have played halo, time Spliters, etc. you will feel odd having no weopon in clear view, and the turning to be a bit slower. Once you get that down, you can get on XBOX Live and rip it up! Total fun. I reccomend this game to all serious halo players.

Only played it once, but wow!

This is one of those games you see your friend with and you think about stealing it even tho you dont have an XBOX, The game is amazing with real life weapons, amazing realalistic missions, and incredible online play! They only threat I see to this game, is the soon to be released SOCOM:Navy Seals 2 for the PS2 witch in my opinion one of the most realistic, best looking army combat game to date and its only line too! I got my fingers crossed for that one!

Just As Good As The First

This is more than just a mere sequel, it's practically a whole new game. Sure the first game has more missions and rank earnings but this sequel has a lot that you won't see in the first Ghost Recon game. For instance, during some of the daylight levels, clouds cover up the sun so you experience darkened terrain until the clouds move and it lights back up again. Also on the last level, the rain is blowing which is a very cool enviroment effect. The sounds are also done superbly and the voices are clear and easily understandable. The gameplay is also just as fun as the first but with some added twists to a couple of the missions. An example would be during the last mision, some of the buildings you have to check are wired to explode and you won't know which ones they are until you set them off. Also, your objectives move around on you so that it isn't just walk straight over there and complete it, you actually have to track down moving targets like hostages being moved around. Overall, this game is very fun and worth a buy. Especially since it's $10 dollars cheaper. This is one sequel that whoever owns the first Ghost Recon game shouldn't be without. (Tip: Buy this game from Best Buy or Media Play because they sell the game for $30 dollars instead of $40 like EB)

Another addicting shoot em up game

Its ghost recon reborn and its now on your Xbox. This is a must game to buy (rent it if you a cheap @$$). Dont waste anytime. Compatible with Xbox Live which is a must. Don't forget.....Clan matches on teamcompete.com and Ghost Freak On is the team to beat. Detroitbass is my guess for the number one ranking on this but we will see. See you all online. Oh and one more thing. Lurk, you suck!!! 5th element is going down!
