Summary

Game Description

Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance II is set in the Forgotten Realms world, the most popular Dungeons & Dragons campaign setting, and it uses the 3rd Edition Dungeons & Dragons rules set. Dark Alliance II features more monsters and five new and unique customizable player characters to choose from, hidden areas to explore, and a new item creation system that allows players to create their own ultimate magical artifacts. Darkness gathers yet again in the sprawling port city of Baldur's Gate and the city's most recent saviors vanished along with the Onyx Tower, foul bastion of Eldrith the Betrayer. In heroic tradition, adventurers throughout the Western Heartlands make the journey to Baldur's Gate to meet their great and unknown fate. The threat of Eldrith has been eliminated, yet sinister, enigmatic forces still rally against the city. There are many intrigues to unravel, enemies to butcher, and characters to meet -- both old and new -- before Baldur's Gate is saved from a fate far worse than utter destruction.

Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance II - Xbox

Weapon Augmentation a Plus

Whoa! The water looks real! Graphics are what hooked me in, but it was nice to see some serious follow-through with the overall gameplay. As much as I enjoyed the first game, the second Dark Alliance keeps everything that worked for the first game in tact, but kicks it up a notch. Weapon augmentation adds is an interesting facet of the game added to give you more to do. It's a great thing to play around with and really gives the hard-core nerds (D&D peeps, I'm speaking to you) that little something extra to make the experience special. It's always nice to be able to customize your weapon--it makes it feel more like it's your own. Worth the buy.
