Catch the Heat, And Get Street!

This has got to be the most fun I have ever had with a basketball game. It is now a platinum hit, so it only costs $20! I wish EA Games didn't have a contract with Sony to only put EA Games on PS2's Online feature, because then this would be the greatest game! The graphics are pretty good for X-Box's standard. The moves are awesome, especially the Triple Alley-Oop, and it's so fun to school all of your friends, and then scream out, "OOOOOOOOOOOhhhhhhhh, Schooled." The replay value of this game is endlless, and is not too hard to beat, but try it with a different team, and well, it is endless. Go pick it up right now, and support your local gamestore!

This is way better than the first. Believe That Player!

The dunks, dribbles, blocks, and love tapping of somebody's head. That is so cool and if you don't have this game you should get it and love it.

NBA Street vol.2 is #1

NBA Street vol.2 has the best moves out of all the basketball games out there. It has the graphics and the handles to beat any game it matches against. You could unlock more than seven of the legendary street courts in the U.S. You could also unlock NBA legends (Bill Russell, "Pistol" Pete Maravich, Larry Bird, Magic Johnson, etc.) and you could unlock street legends (Stretch Monroe, Dime, Bonafide, Osmosis, etc.). It has different ways to win by. You could win the traditional street way, win with a level 1 or 2 gamebreaker, win by reaching a certain amount of trick points, etc. I recommend this game for anyone who likes to be on the edge of their seat, for anyone who is into basketball, or for anyone who wants to embarras their friends playing basketball without stepping one foot on a basketball court.

If you liked the first one...

NBA Street Vol. 2 picks up right where the first installment left off. Almost every aspect of the game has been taken to the next level. You can now "pocket" a Gamebreaker and pull of a sick two Gamebreaker combo worth more points. The Create-A-Baller mode is deeper and more customizable. NBA legends now roam the court. From Bob Cousy to Dr. J to Magic, they're all there to be unlocked along with their "retro" jerseys. The visual style of the game is unique and fitting for the "over-the-top" gameplay. Last but not least, you can FINALLY play 4 players which a major improvement. The only downside is the control scheme is a little awkward. Most notably, the third turbo button is accessed by clicking the left thumbstick which is not an easy thing to do when you're also using it to move with. The sound accurately represents the game with hip-hop tracks and a mouthy, trash-talking announcer. I would have liked to see EA take advantage of the Xbox's custom soundtrack feature but as it is this game is a must buy for anyone who enjoyed the first NBA Street or who enjoys basketball, even casually.
