Summary

Game Description

Metroid Prime: Trilogy by Nintendo for the Wii is a compilation of three Metroid Prime games -- Metroid Prime, Metroid Prime 2 Echoes, and Metroid Prime 3: Corruption -- on one special-edition disk with updated Wii motion controls and wide-screen presentation. The first two games, originally released for Nintendo GameCube, have been updated for play using the innovative Wii motion-control system that debuted with Metroid Prime 3: Corruption. These controls bring a new level of immersion and freedom to these award-winning games. Also, for the first time ever, all three games are rendered in a vivid 16:9 wide-screen presentation. Players can now select the game they want to play through a unified main menu that ties together all three adventures, and gain access to bonus materials through a new in-game unlockables system.

The Metroid Prime series has an outstanding reputation, thanks to terrific installments on both the Gamecube and Wii. Taking a series known for its 2-D roots and transporting it into the 3-D FPS space was risky but Samus made the transition intact, offering gamers a chance to step into her power armor for some thrilling outer space adventures. Now, Wii owners get a chance to revisit the Prime franchise with updated visuals and motion controls in one outstanding package.
