Boom Blox BP

I've never played the original so I can't talk about if this one is as fresh as the 1st one but here is the review.

Pros. This game is additive in my view. With over 400 levels to play and different games, this title will last you a long time. Also by completing different levels and games you can unlock many different blox and characters and more to use for a very detailed and fun create mode. Also a nice touch to not have younger gamers who are stuck on a level to just give up on the game, you can use boom bux (which you get for completing levels) to buy the level ahead of it. Not to metion all the amazing tools you can use like the slingshot and the bombs, (to name a few) there are so many things to do. now the multiplayer is also a great add-on. you can download custom levels and send your own.

Cons. these are just some small problems. The visuals are not top notch. Also the carmera does now and then go to a bad spot, (use the nunchuk). Also the wii remote does go off screen when you do use items. But these are just small complaints to a steller game. If I could I would give it a 4.5/5 though. If you have a Wii there is no excuse to buy one of the best series on the wii.

Boom Blox Bash Party Review

Single Player: four hundred missions is going to take quite some time to do, but once you finish the 6 differant kinds of missions you can always download more from Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection or make your own levels if you want to. From space to underwater to circuses they never disappoint. You can start on whatever differant kind of mission you want, it is up to you. If you get stuck on a mission you can buy the next level with boom bux. You get Boom bux by completing missions or getting acheivements. 8.5/10

Multiplayer: You can play against them or with them, I haven't played against them but playing with them is fun, but not as fun by playing by yourself. 8/10

Controls: Are almost perfect, sometimes when you look at the screen it won't register but that is the only problem with the controls. Itis easy to throw a ball. Just hold in A and thrust the wiimote and that is pretty much it. 9/10

  • May. 19, 2009 Review: Boom Blox Bash Party

The original Boom Blox was everything a Wii game should be. Like Wii Sports, it was original, fun and took full advantage of the Wii Remote's unique capabilities; the GamePro staff had a great time playing through it and our only complaint was that it led to a lot of sore arm muscles. Bash Party is a great follow-up that adds some interesting new mechanics but really, it's just more of the same, which is exactly what we wanted.
