The Wii Fit is a great concept, but it didn't hold my attention.
I really wanted the Wii Fit for the yoga option, but I found it disappointing. The yoga section was good as far as teaching the pose and form and balancing on the board with the yoga poses was challenging.
But I didn't like how after each pose you either had select to do the pose again or go back to the pose list to select a different pose. I think it would be great if there was an option to string together a number of poses, instead of the starting, stopping, and starting again. Same goes for the Strength Training section.
So overall with having to access the menus most of the time I feel the Wii Fit does not give a strong workout, but it can work as a supplement if one chooses.
I hope Nintendo continues with Wii Fit and offer more content and options.

Would you like to play? WiiFit is a fun way to exercise and learn good posture and balance. At the beginning your Wii Balance Board talks to you about the growing problem of posture. After you have heard it ramble on for a time you choose your Mii to represent you in the game. You enter your height and birthday and step on the board. Then comes the most dreaded part for anyone... Your BMI and weight. Depending on where your weight reads on the charts your Mii will gain or lose weight to show you. Most people of course are embarrassed at this part and even I was laughing and crying at the same time. Your weight will be categorized into 1 of 4 areas. Underweight, Normal, Overweight, and Obese. Upon being put into Obese your Mii will grow into a walking ball of fat. It's very funny to watch this happen but then you realize that it is you it's representing. You set a goal of how much you want to lose over a certain period of time and then you begin the games and activites. You pick a workout trainer to help you along the way and the choices are slim, a buff, bodybuilder male or a clothes-skin-tight female. (Of course I choose the female for motivation)
There are 4 different areas to train and work your body in throughout the game. Yoga, Strength Training, Aerobics, and Balance Games.
Yoga includes a number of stretches and seemingly impossible poses to follow. These become easier over time, but until then enjoy just watching your trainer tell you what to do while you eat your chicken leg.
Strength Training is by far the hardest and the most workoutish of the 4 areas. Your trainer helps you as you do different leg, arm, ab, and body movements on the board such as push-ups, squats, supermans, and much more. These are the most rewarding exercises but also the most physically demanding so watch yourself.
Aerobics. These are fun activites where you test your endurance and your rhythm. You put your Wii controller into your pocket and jog in pace to keep up with the guide in front of you. Oddly enough it actually feels like you have been running. There is also a hula hoop game where you move your hips in a circular motion while leaning at odd times to catch more hula hoops. And lastly, on the basic side of things there is a game to follow a dance type routine on the Wii Board and timing is everything.
Now, if you are as lazy as I am you will be finding yourself doing mostly Balance Games. These poor excuses for exercise are fun game that involve your balance and nothing more. Slaloming down a ski hill, walking across a tight rope, and hitting soccer balls with your head are all great activities and they actually work to help your balance improve.
On a final note, you receive a metallic piggy bank where you "store" how many minutes of exercise you have done in a day or in total. This is a great way to keep track and see how much you actually did when you thought you couldn't. WiiFit is a great game that completely changes the way games are looked at. It is fun for the whole family and you are still getting a good workout while playing it. I would recommend it to anyone with a Wii and to anyone else who wants to lose weight in a fun way. Peace, Love, and Video Games.
