Pokemon Battle Revolution - Wii

Not a revolution, but still sparks something.

This game can easily be recieved as a mediocre or worse game. I can see why, as there are only battling in the game. Nothing else. But the addition of Wi-Fi with and without friend codes makes the game a tad bit better. The graphics are a bit better, as shading and slight movement parts such as hair are added. The animations had only slightly improved, as the animations are same;punching is far away from the enemy, or biting is a jaw's outline going across the screen. However, they have a few more animations, such as birds actually flying instead of standing in mid-air during the charge of the move Fly. Now for general concepts like the story. There is no story. It is you who travels to a place called Poketopia(weird,I know.) where there are battles from trainers everywhere. You can tell the "from trainers everywhere" part came from the addition of Wi-Fi. Well, you are given rental passes you can use in battles if you don't have your own pokemon. This is disappointing, as in Pokemon Stadium for N64, you can choose which rental pokemon you want. If you have pokemon however, you transfer all the pokemon you have in Pokemon Diamond and Pearl. All of them. If you have 8 boxes in storage filled with pokemon, they're all added. That is nice,so you don't constantly turn on your DS to transfer again and again. The sound...ugh. The announcer...I had to pause my game everytime someone passed by while I was playing to avoid embarrassment. The announcer is so embarrassing. I'm just happy they added an option where you can remove the annoying voice. The soundtrack is alright, but doesn't match the epicness of the battle music in portable pokemon games. When it comes down to the actual fun factor, you can say its passable. Quite fun,not mediocre, but can be ignored. Nintendo could have tried harder to match Pokemon Battle Revolution's fun factor with Pokemon Stadium's.

Pokemon Battle Revolution - Wii

I don't want to "catch 'em all"

I remeber back in the day when Nintendo 64 was the newest thing and one of the coolest games was "Pokemon Stadium". You could pick any 6 of the 150 original Pokemon to fight with, play through awesome boss stadiums, entertain with the load of minigames, and you could even play your Gameboy Color games on the TV! That was back then though, so now you would expect alot more in a Pokemon game, right...well, think again! Pokemon Battle Revolution isn't a game, its a scam. It has a worthless story with no real choice in the Pokemon you use, UNLESS to have a DS game. It's the first game to go online, and there are no stats or leaderboards, and online battles are impossible to beat, UNLESS you have a DS game. All in all, it's basically just a way to play the DS versions on the TV and to battle Pokemon online.

Pokemon Battle Revolution - Wii

good but not good.

the graphics are good, but it needs to have an adventure in it like the other pokemon games.it's also good that you can copy pokemon from pokemon diamond/pearl to pokemon battle revolution.

Pokemon Battle Revolution - Wii

...ok but lacking

basically the game is battling people online and offline. you can custimize your character but after awhile it gets boring. do not buy the game if your dont have wifi or a ds!youll be greatly dissapointed. during online youll sometimes lose the conection and all the players online have a team of leyendaries so ur gonna lose fast the only cool thing is that you can enter ur friends wii code and battle him online. if it had the rpg mode like other handheld games it would be really good but for now wait till nintendo makes a good polemon game for the wii
