In 2009, this service will have almost 3/4 of the classics games we've grown to love.....from golden axe II, Ninja gaiden, and Super mario bros., all the way to starfox 64, wave race, LoZ:OoT, Mario64, punch-out for the NES, and everything inbetween.......
I absolutely love this service, andv its one of the reasons i bought the WII n_n!

The best emulation system around.
Messing around with games on the Wii's Virtual Console is a great way to spend some time. They offer games from Nintendo's own NES, SNES, and N64. As well as games from NEC's TurboGrafx-16 and the Sega Genesis. At first, I didn't think too much of the VC. But after I got my Wii, I just had to download Bonk. I never owned a TG-16 and I was never able to get any TG-16 emulators to work right. So I never got to play any of NEC's 16-bit lineup. After about an hour of playing Bonk, I was hooked. I immediately started downloading other VC titles. Splatterhouse, Donkey Kong Country, Sonic (1), Super Mario World, Air Zonk, Devils Crush, Toe Jam & Earl, ect, ect, ect. Each one fully worth the 5 to 8 bucks that I'd shell out. In fact, I spend more time playing the classics on the Virtual Console than I do with Wii's main titles and the 360's lineup combined. All in all, the Virtual Console alone is worth the price of the Wii.

a major down for nintendo...
like i said in my wii sports review, i don't have wii, but i still know how to judge games by their appearnce, and that is what i will do. I know that you aren't supposed to jugde a game by its box, but even you can tell its bad. the thing only has retro games from the past instead of new games like PSnetwork and xbox live. all i can say is, don't bother. 1.75/5

bringing the top games from old selections into the 21st century
The wii has added features such as the news channel, weather channel, and internet channel if you have an internet connection but you also get the wii shop channel in which you can get points there(that aren't free of course)that you use to buy games from old nintendo systems including the genesis, nes, snes, turbo graphix, and the n64. this is the thing that draws the people in of all ages for the wii because you can bet even your parents to really play since they should know some of the games in the selection and nintendo has also said that they will eventually come out with the whole library of nintendo games. so if you or your parents like to play the original games of nintendo that helped to start the video game legacy, then get some points and grab the games.
