One time event, and don't miss it!
There was a time when I loved DBZ. I knew every character, I remembered all of their DB adventures, and I was (along with hundreds of other fans) unsure of Frieza's gender (It's a guy!?). After the Buu saga and GT, I lost respect for the series. But I found it awakened within this new title for the Wii! For starters, simply spectacular, the controls felt amazing, and easy to use. It has the same feel as the other Budokai games, while throwing in the freedom of the terrible Tenkaichi game. However, they do it in a way that feels naturally Dragon Ball Z. I found myself reliving the times whe nI used to enjoy the show, but this time actually LIVING it! The controls rock, the gameplay feels natural, even the cutscenes retain the ridiculousness of the show. I only have two complaints, which don't really bother me too much. 1) The music is a bit annoying (Thats why I drown it out with my own MP3 player); 2)like the show, most of the battle involves you powering up your character, to the point where battles become a bit repetitive. All in all, the only game ever to give you a realistic feel to DBZ. Final word: One time event, and don't miss it. (Cheers.)
