Lets EAT!

Now I dont like Cake Mania on the DS but this is a different story. This is like Iron Chef only you dont have to get your hands messy. It's perfect for the ametur chef. I hate cooking but not on this. You can always add the right flavor to your dish. Not to mentiontghe game has awesome graphics. I just wish there were a career mode. Now that would be delicious.

Cooking Mama serves up some fun

Cooking Mama: Cook Off attempts to merge the world of cooking and the world of gaming into a cute Japanese package. The premise of the game is to learn recipes from Mama that she picked up from different parts of the world. She takes you step through step in each recipe. The controls are fairly solid, although some of the motions could be better explained. On a few instances, the Wiimote prove unresponsive, but it was easily fixed. The multi-player is much more satisfying than the story mode. The graphics are not much more than anime inspired art and glittery goodness, but be prepared to go overboard on the adorable factor. The sounds are great, but the translator could have done a much better job. They use broken English with a Japanese accent that makes it near impossible to understand. Thankfully the small problems with this game don't detract from the fun. With the next gen of games, it seems like devs are taking more risks and trying to do something innovative. This is certainly the case with this game.
