Great Game, but,,

I rarely pre order games, thanks to "The Matrix"; but I took a chance with this game. I'm glad I did. You're able to play two at a time which is a great change, unlike RE: 0 where you control two at the same time, so still it's a one player game. Anyhow, I had a great time with this game, it took me a day and a half to complete it. Still I yet to unlock all it's goodies. The Wii controls are spot on, but I did not enjoy using the gun strap that came with Link's crossbow training. Some actions required movement that I wasn't able to pull off while the controls were strap on.
The one problem I had with the game that some things had to be repeated to unlock things, although once you found the files hidden through-out the game it would always be recorded, but you always had to pull off the headshots in order to get a good grade. It really isn't an easy thing to do with a handgun that really doesn't do much damage as you progress. Another problem was the low health amount that it gave you, and you will take alot of damage trying to deal with the headshots.
Overall I did enjoy the game and highly recommend it!

Resident Evil The Umbrella Chronicles Review

It took me over a year to finally get this game, and it was the sole reason for buying a Wii. But after played it for just 5 minutes, I realized full well it was worth it. Being as Resident Evil is my all time favorite video game franchise ever, I knew I was going to love this game, as it retells major past events from the Resident Evil series in a first person perspective. I've heard people's complaints, and even a friend of mine say they didn't like it because it was too difficult and they weren't expecting it to be a rail shooter. Now, okay, sure there haven't been any rail shooters in the recent year, as they seemed to be more of an arcade fad, and never found a place on consoles, so they died along with the arcade, but it's not like Capcom didn't present the game as a rail shooter. They didn't trick us in saying it would have the same controls and aspect of RE4. Of course they didn't. They presented it as is, a fantastically addicting rail shooter, that any hardcore RE fan will no doubt eat it up like human flesh. No pun intended. Currently, I have not completed the game, as I am waiting for my second Wii remote to arrive on my doorstep to finally experience co-op. But as of right now, I might be about half way done with it. As this is also my first seventh generation title (I know I'm a little slow), the graphics really didn't blow me away. Sure, the Wii arguably has the worst graphics of the three big ones (so I've heard), but it does look just like slightly polished Game cube graphics. I didn't choose Ugly visuals as a con, because these graphics really aren't all that bad, just not mind blowing like RE5. One story related complaint I had with this that they completely removed Barry. HUH??!! Barry survived the mansion incident along with Jill, Chris, Rebecca and Wesker, and rescued Jill and Carlos from dying in the blast that consumed Raccoon City. These facts are also acknowledged as truth in the RE5 game booklet, so where is Barry? The only thing I can think of is that they removed him because they had no room for him to be playable, so they couldn't fit him anywhere in the game. The Umbrella Chronicles is a fantastic shooter, that is guarenteed to satisfy RE fan boys, as well as the many people hoping for rail shooters to make a comeback.

4 out of 5.

Resident Evil: The Umbrella Chronicles - Wii

Looking back at history being made

And they say Wii doesn't have good graphics.

Well this game begs to differ. Resident Evil Umbrella Chronicles has the best realistic graphics i have seen so far for the Wii. The game brings back the original series with a twist in gameplay using light gun action. It also bonus content that was not seen in the original games. Slaying hordes and Zombies is even funner featuring something that was not seen in the series of resident evil where you and a friend could play together as different characters. This game also those a well job on shedding some light on the fall of umbrella and also some other things such as how Ada escape Raccon City, and also how Richard Aiken was attacked by the Yawn(Giant Snake), and adding a couple of characters that were not seen in the original series. You can customize your weapons to your desire. There are various files top be collected through out the game in learning more about the Resident Evil Series. You are a hard core zombie fan, a Resident Evil Fanatic, or just guy looking to have some fun Resident Evil The Umbrella Chronicles is a must have for your Wii System.

Resident Evil: The Umbrella Chronicles - Wii

Pros Cons
Engaging story Annoying audio
Epic boss fights Repetitive gameplay
Fantastic multiplayer
2s a S.T.A.R.S team, 1s a gonner

RE:UC is actually a fun game. While first it may seem like just another rail shooter, you soon realize it is something special. That is if your playing co-op. Suprisingly single player is mutch harder than you might think. For me, i couldn't get past a certain leval as single player yet while I was playing with my friend we were able to beat the game really fast. So I would not recomend this game if you don't have any friends who will play with you.
