Elebits - Wii

Who knew that finding aliens could get so messy?

O.K., let's make this simple. The graphics aren't obviously going to be life-like, but considering that isn't what Nintendo is going for and that they never provided brilliant graphics ever, they wasn't too bad. I give the graphics a 4.0 out of 5.0. The story was presented brilliantly with the picture book style. Yet, the story itself was just a story, I mean it didn't scream out "Award-winning" to me. What really bored me was the really annoying voice-acting. I thought they tried too hard in that department. The actual in-game sound was pretty good, when I threw a pot it was really realistic. I give sound a 4.5 out of 5. The gameplay was fantastic! The only part that I didn't enjoy was opening doors. Yet, I was very disapointed by how Wiiconnect24 was used. They should acually allow gameplay online, but Nintendo will learn. Multiplayer at home was fun though, even though my friends and I would only see who could make a bigger mess... I give the gameplay a 5.0 out of 5.0. Controls were great other than opening doors, so i give controls a 4.5 out of 5.0.Overall a great game and I highly reccommend it to every Wii owner.

The cutest FPS ever.

Perhaps calling Elebits a first-person shooter is a little off the mark, but all the key elements are there - it's done in the first person, and there's a gun being used. All three words accounted for. Long story short, the Elebits are tiny electrical creatures that are acting weird. And because your idiotic ten-year-old mind hates them, you assume all the power outage stuff - and the inability to watch your favorite TV show - all fall on their tiny, button-sized heads, the sons-a-guns. You grab a Capture Gun and...well, capture them. If the box art doesn't give it away, this game is very cutesy. The whole thing has a quirky, cartoonish feel to it, but to say this game is suited only to kids is a cynical view. Adults will find themselves strangely addicted to this game. It uses the Wii's controls as well as any other game has so far, and far better than most. The game is challenging but fun. Maybe it's not the best thing out there, but it's more fun than it looks.

Elebits

Elebits is probably one of the wierdest games for the Wii. The main goal of the game is to capture as many Elebits as you can before time runs out. In edit mode, you can pick a room you've already cleared, and fill it with whatever you want and even adjust the gravity. The only thing that could've been better is more rooms and more different types of Elebits, but it's still a great game that is worth buying.

Simple, yet addictng

Let me start out this review by who I feel this game's audience is: If you love any crazy games from Japan, i.e. Katamri Damacy or Elite Beat Agents, you will love this game as well... I could be wrong though. The gameplay here is pretty simple, but it's fun running(although fairly slow running)around and picking up everything in your way. It's great editing levels and taking pics and sharing them with your Wii frinds over WiiConnect24. It has cool power ups and (from what I've played) a good bit of replay value. One down side is the awful...awful..AWFUL voice acting! But that aside this game is really fun (especially with Wii friends.) So if you are looking for that second or third game to buy for your Wii, pick up Elebits.

Silly Elebits. Those rotund little creatures of electric energy are such a nuisance, making messes of peoples homes and causing a general ruckus.
