Super Monkey Ball: Banana Blitz is a odd game that takes advantage of the Wii mote in various ways. The single player mode you are a monkey who just had bronze bananas stolen from you by a large pirate baboon. In order to get them back you need to put yourself fin a bubble and roll yourself using the Wii mode and tilting it forward/back and side to side. The single player is a one trick pony that gets extremely boring rather quickly. Instead I think the majority of people who get this game will be more interested in the Mini-games that come with it. Monkey Ball has 50 Mini-games that can be played with up to 4 people. From what I gathered the mini games are extremely hard or just extremely buggy. The Wii mote does not pick up many of the actions, you need to perform, well in the mini games. As you struggle in the first 3 mini-games you start to realize that nothing is going to change. Personally I found only one minigame I enjoyed. I find super money ball a disappointment. This is a rent/avoid.
If you have the patience for it...

It's pretty damn annoying, but if you have the patience to loose over and over and over and over again, then it's an entertaining game. But me, I scream, alot.

Intro: Super Monkey Ball franchise is quite popular among gamers, and is made by SEGA. Gameplay: 3/5 This game has a repeditive as heck concept with every mission in the game being identical except for each track might have something special about it. The thought of a a monkey in a ball is quite cool however. Handling: 2/5 Takes heaps of getting used to and is the most stressfull to control game i have ever come accross! Graphics: 4/5 One of the better for wii. nice, clean. Sound: 1.5/5 Lets just say N/A. Longetivity: 3/5 This game is average in this department. theres not that much to go through however there is at least a hundred (resonably crappy) mini games, of not a single one i could understand, not having the manual. Overall: 2.5 Not really a reccommended wii title at all on my part.:)

Monkeys are crazy enough, so what should you expect from monkeys trapped in plastic balls? The answer, REALLY crazy monkeys. The first thing that should jump out at you is the massive amount of party games. They range from playing with a slingshot to herding sheep. The games are much more fun to play with more than one person. The problem is, most of them aren't very fun. Only a handful of them are. The controls are sometimes very confusing too. Also making a return is Main Mode. This time, the monkeys have had their golden bananas stolen. The motion-sensing comes into play as you must hold the wii-mote parallel to the ground, and tilt it in certain ways to manuever your way through the stage. There are many Worlds to complete with increasing difficulty as you go. You can also jump, which you need in some stages and can be used for snagging hard-to-reach bananas in other places. At the end of each World you now must fight a boss. Kill them and wah-lah, you have redeemed a golden banana. All previous characters return, and new characters Doctor and Yan-Yan make their way in. The graphics also have a much smoother, modern look than from the previous games. So its a game with a not so great party mode, really great Main Mode, and yes, crazy monkeys. So if you yourself are a crazy monkey, or just enjoy the Monkey Ball series, you may want to check this game out.

Super Monkey Ball: Banana Blitz
Sega's attempt to resurrect the degenerating Super Monkey Ball franchise with more poor monkeys in a ball ends up falling flat on its face.
