Fear Effect 2: Retro Helix by Eidos for PlayStation introduces several new features and enhancements over the first Fear Effect: Gameplay is more action orientated, no load times after death sequences, a greater variety of puzzles, and better integration of puzzles into the gameplay. In addition to original cast members Hana Tsu-Vachel, Royce Glas, and Jakob ?Deke? Decourt, Retro Helix introduces a new character, Rain Qin, a very close companion of Hana. The game starts when Hana, Rain, Glas, and Deke are hired under mysterious circumstances to acquire three separate items, but what starts out as a routine infiltration and retrieval assignment spawns a bizarre chain of events.
