The best FF game to date.
The best FF game I've ever played and one of the best RPG games ever. Even after all this time I still have fun playing the game. I loved every part of the game. There was the story which was truly dark in story and design compared to other RPG's I'd played at the time. The characters Cloud, Tifa, Yuffie, Barret, Aeris, Red XIII, Cid, Red XIII, and Vincent were great and has a group are perhaps the best RPG characters ever. The graphics and game design were amazing and are stil good even after all this time. The game play was cutting edge as well. Though everything leads back to the great story. You could change small things in the story like Clouds relationships with Tifa, Yuffie and Aeriis. The world was so masive you can spend countless hours replaying the game to change the story to the way you want it and try to beat those terribly hard roaming optional bosses. Then there's the death of Aeris, yes I'm saying the characters name. Who by now doesn't know she dies in the game. This is perhaps the best or worst moment in the game, depending on if you were using Aeris as one of your main characters. I wasn't so it's one of the best/saddest moments of any RPG. Final Fantasy VII is the best FF game ever and the second best RPG behind Xenogears.

I Can Finally See Why People Consider it One of the Greatest RPG's EVER!!!!
You are Cloud, a member of the rebel group AVALANCHE, and you are trying to stop the planet from being destroyed by a group called SHINRA which basically controls everything on the planet, as well as finding out the truth to Clouds mysterious past....
This game has every element and aspect of a great RPG that you would expect. The items, the armor, accessory, weapon, and the unique aspect called materia ( which is Basically you magic ) are all handled with perfection. The story is amazazing (yes i meant to do that), with so many twists and turns to the plot this game will keep you up all night with its addictive game play. But the game might not be the same every time you go through and play, once you beat it one way, try to go back and beat it with different selections.
Through this game you will encounter many characters and all of them each have a section of the game dedicated to their storyline. Some times though the game veers away from the MAIN storyline to much and you will forget where your supposed to go or what you need to do.
Another beef that I have with this game is the audio. Ugh....Its just horrible you will just walking somewhere on the map because you have finally found out what you're supposed to do but when you are just simply walking a short distance you will encounter SOOOOOOO many foes and all of them will seem very powerful until you get into the latter part of the game. And every time you encounter a foe (unless it is a boss or chocobo or any other occasion) you here the same music and with all of the encounters.... you might be muting your TV after extended play. Another problem that I had was the Camera when you enter certain areas. It is VERY confusing hen you have to walk through a wall to get to the other side (or sometimes it seems that way). Or, there are other times when you are pressing the direction UP and the he starts moving LEFT I got frustrated trying to walk around in a building and just walking out a door.
When I finally decided to pick up a copy of this game, I had found out that people were paying $60-$90 on this game. And I was like "WHAT THE HECK ARE THEY CRAZY!!!!!" but if you own a PS3..... You can pick this game up for $9.99 on the Playstation Network.... and if you don't own a PS3, when you get the money, you definitely want to pick up this game!! Any true gamer should not live his or her life without playing this final fantasy epic. This game will not let you down. You will be amazed by the entire feel and characteristic (besides the graphics but HEY!!! GET OVER IT!!!!!)

My beloved FFVII
I picked this game up brand new for $10. Then soon after I noticed that it began selling at around $50 - 70. Guess I got lucky, but I'd pay $100 for this game. It's just brilliant. The story consumed me all the way. I never have cared about characters as much I have the FFVII game.
Story: The story is brilliant, Cloud an Ex-Soldier who suffers from memory loss and identity problems joins up with a rebel group called Avalanche to blow up Mako reactors that are sucking the planet dry. This is the fault of an evil corporation named Shinra. Upon blowing up all these reactors, Cloud meets a flower gilr named Areis. She quickly draws him into a world he'd never expect, and a new, much greater evil is introduced in the form of Ex-first class soldier, Sephiroth, who wants to become a god. Together, Cloud and his friends must stop Seph at all costs or the world is doomed.
Graphics: Horrible by today's standards, but I enjoy them. The characters are extremly deformed and blocky, the environments look nice in some places, though, due to them being pre rendered. They do the job.
Sound: FFVII might have the most beautiful theme song ever written. The music is great all throughout.
Gameplay: lots of exploration, random battles, and a turn based system. I like the turn based system in FFVII. It's fast and easy to manage. Not overly complex like some RPG's. It's a breeze to execute attacks, magic, and summons. All around, good old fashioned RPG gameplay.
Overall: A timeless classic. This game has touched me and I will never forget it.

Final Fantasy VII, the best chapter.
Final fantasy VII was the best final fantasy game i've played so far, too bad I don't have it anymore, But just in general final fantasy VII is the best of all of the stories, and this is the base for advent children, and durge of cerberus, and Crisis Core! (also a very very good game...)

Final Fantasy VII
The grass is always greener somewhere else. For years, computer gamers have asked for conversions of console role-playing games?ones that are accessible and cute as well as fun?and their wish has finally been granted. Final Fantasy VII, the first 32-bit entry in Square?s celebrated RPG line, has been converted from the PlayStation. Aside from a few rough patches (some unique to this Windows 95 implementation, some inherited from the original game), this four-CD epic is accessible, cute, fun, pretty, and likely to keep you pleasantly occupied for a long time.
