Patapon is a 2D platform/action game in which players must lead the Patapons, a tribe of proud creatures, through a series of epic battles. The patapons fight based on the steady beat of a war-like drum that you control. Along with basic spears, bows, and arrows, you will eventually be able to equip the various Patapons units with other, more brutal weapons.

The only thing more addicting than this game is prescription drugs, so that's saying something. Patapon is a rhythm, action, real time strategy game with side scrolling and RPG elements. The game has a simplistic art similar to that of Loco Roco (mostly because the same developers made the two games) and has a cute with a humorous tone. You lead an army of Patapons, and have the ability to equip them with items, and gear, and can fuse items to form other Patapons. You control the Patapon by pressing the square, Circle, Triangle, and X buttons in a rhythmic fashion, along with the music and chatter of the Patapon. Now the sound of the game is very catchy, and you can find that you may be tapping your foot inadvertently with the melody. In fact, I recommend doing so to stay in rhythm. As per RPGs, you'll have some grinding to do to gain enough materials to get a more reinforced army to beat the bosses. There are some very strategic concepts in the game, which is very impressive due to the fact that the game comes off as pretty simple. I mean, the direction of the wind has an effect on how far your arrows go, and when it rains, certain animals can smell you coming, and so they flee. These little additions make the game really fun, but hard at the same time. There's lots to collect, and hours of gameplay to have. And you'll be singing 'Pata-pata-pata-pon' from now till doomsday.

Cute and fun

Amazing visuals

The perfect PSP game, though you'll probably get sick of it long before you finish the single-player game. The music and visuals are adorable, and both kids and adults will love it. It's fun upgrading your soldiers with new weapons and armor, but the single-player experience gets very difficult about halfway through the game. Still worth experiencing.

Pata-Pata-Pata-Pon

Patapon is a great game to buy but it can be hard and can be even fun for the kids. The story is alright it tells about the epic patapons owining everyone, but then they lost peoples respect and now you're gonna find it, but what is It? Find it out by urself by playing the game. Its gameplay is a RTS maybe because you control many people(well only maybe you can only have 3 armies at once before you start a mission). The controls, if you're wondering how do i play this? its a 4/4 beat game and play it in order and yes if you atleast get up to ten combo you get fever stronger and better in fever. Thats the end of my review

Patapon

The beat based game mixed with the customization of diffrent patapons like barsala and gekolos, whats not to love.
