Loco Roco is a weird but really fun game. Its hard to explain it without playing it or being on crack. There's nothing else like it.
Can you say adicting?

I really like this game. I fined it very adicting! Its fun and so gosh darn cute! The graphics are good, the game play is excellent and the music is.. well.. different, lol. I say this because I fined it mesmerizing, it just sucks you in. I fined myself humming it every now and then! Its a great "pickup and go" game and I feel it is perfect for the "on the go" gamer. They knew what they were doing when they designed it for the PSP. My favorite part about it is you get this little LocoRoco house that is like a mini game all its own. Id recommend this game for anyone.

it has an incredibly charming graphic style. I'll give it that. everything else, though?
the music is incredibly annoying, despite the praise offered to it. yes, it's quirky, offbeat, pretty catchy, all that jazz, but that alone doesn't save it from grating the ears. well, if it says anything, I'd rather hear this than some generic gangsta rap soundtrack, but that's the most praise I can give it.
the controls are functional, and simple. this makes the game very easy to get into. the problem is, whereas most games of this type go on its "easy to play, hard to master" slogan, the overall gameplay is as simple as the controls. tilting the screen and moving your various locorocos through very same-y levels (differing mostly in color schemes) is very easy and pretty boring. you can increase the challenge by trying to collect all of the items in each level but this is not rewarding in the slightest, and usually results in frustration than anything.
a game that earns some points for style, and none for substance.
It's alright, nothing to get excited about

I was somewhat excited to get it, because I kept hearing talk about it, I started playing it and was like "alright, this is pretty decent", and yes it is pretty decent, but half way through the game you'll find yourself wanting to play something else. When you beat the game you're probably waiting for something gameplay wise to happen, but what else could possibly change in the game that they haven't done already? I mean, exactly how far can you go with a game like this? There couldn't be any sequels because this is about as much as you can do with bouncing waterballoons. I suggest you rent it and not buy it because it doesn't have any replay value, to me atleast. Then again, the physics ingame are pretty impressive, but graphics and physics can only take you so far, and it gets frusterating sometimes and the gameplay gets slow. Be careful with buying this one.
Loco Roco is GREAT!

Loco Roco is one of the most fun games I have ever played, but it doesn't take very long to complete. It only took me two days to finish, luckily I rented it. I wouldn't go buy if I were you, just rent it. All aroun it's a great game. Graphics are ok, funness is teriffic, and learning curve is about a half an hour.

Review:
LocoRoco
LocoRoco belongs to the growing genre of games that experiment with physics. It's a platformer of sorts like Katamari Damacy, but this one explores the properties of gel blobs and gravity. It would be an interesting centerpiece for a programming lecture and it probably belongs in an art museum, but as a $40 video game, it's a little thin.
