Great Fighting game

Namco has always been a strong proponent of Sony. Some might say that Namco has single-handedly put the Playstation on the map with games like Ridge Racer and Tekken. Regardless of your thoughts on this, it cannot be denied that Namco simply rocks and its partly due to their robust library of games that I am a devout Playstation fan.

Admittedly, my PSP has been gathering dust lately. Let's face it, there has not been many outstanding games for this system. And with the slow demise of UMD movies and additional problems that Sony is facing in the short term, I was beginning to wonder whether I made a big mistake in picking up a PSP.

But, as before, Namco has come to Sony's rescue with a game that is simply mindboggling. I am relatively jaded when it comes to video games. I have been a gamer for a long time (ahem, Atari/Commodore) so it takes a lot to impress me. So it is with utter joy and relief that I now have a great game that not only inspires confidence in my previously questionable PSP purchase, but also a game that finally defines what a portable game is supposed to be-quick, accessible and a helluvalot of fun. Halleluya!!!

I travel a lot in my line of work and Resurrection promises to keep me busy on those long flights to the West Coast. I can only hope that I will find fellow fighters at the airport or at the coffee shop. If not, I can always work on my technique or on getting that new hair for my favorite character.

I look forward to exploring Resurrection's online capabilities. If history serves as a benchmark, I have no doubts that Namco will deliver on this front too.

I'd write more, but I'm busy kick'n @ss and taking names...

See you guys/gals on the arena.

The best handheld fighter ever made

Love fighting games? This is the one for you. The visuals are amazing on the PSP -- it looks like a PSP game -- and the controls feel identical to the console versions. Truly one of the PSP classics.

It's a great game. You can get to beat other people in your area in Arcade mode or Tekken Dojo. You can get to any high rank by winning matches.

Excellent Game

Dark Resurection is a really fun game. Lots of different play modes, easy to pick up and play. Perfect for long trips. Graphics are crisp and vibrant. Moves are devestating. A must have for any PSP fan and fans of the Tekken Series.

Tekken 5: Dark Resurrection

The fighting mechanics were all faithfully translated. The biggest plus is the graphics. Really showed the power of PSP. Now only if online matches were available...SWEET!
