Great portable shooting action

Syphon Filter: Logan's Shadow is the sequel to the other PSP gem, Syphon Filter: Dark Mirror. The main focal point of both titles is how great the controls are on the PSP. They are very tight, especially with the lack of a second analog stick. Both games have great stories, and so you won't just be mindlessly shooting people. But just in case you do like mindlessly shooting people, this game also has a lot of that. As an operative in the game, you'll infiltrate many areas and use a wide array of weapons, and cool gadgets to see your way through. The cool thing about the game is the fact that you can tackle missions in either a stealthy manner, or go into situations guns blazing, and I find that this game's inclusion of both is very impressive. Speaking of very impressive, the game features very good graphics for a PSP title, with realistic weapons, and characters, and some pretty good lighting effects. The story mode should last you about 6-8 hours with many twists and turns, but there are also unlockable bonus missions, harder difficulties, and the issue of collecting ranks. There is also an online multiplayer component to the game which is pretty solid from my experience. The game has a lot of polish, and I feel is an all around definitive title to have on the PSP. The audio is good as well, and there are also CG cutscenes dispersed into the game. Syphon Filter is a very sweet deal, since it comes with a lot packaged into the small UMD.It is one hand held title you'll have trouble putting down.

One of the best shooters on the psp

Syphon Filter: logans shadows is a great all around game. There is the classic cover system and the controls are simple.
Your playing as an american covert ops dude, your pretty much a mixture between james bond and sam fisher. You can sneak around and play it stealth bout half the time and shoot the rest, i pretty much shot the whole time :). There is a good wide arange of weapons and gadegts you can use. You can hold up to about four weapons, a grenade, and your hands [ which has differnent variations such as knifes]
The story umm, well, its kinda the normal movie stuff if you know what i mean.
The single player has different difficulties, a Missionmodes wich helps unlock even more stuff, and unlockables which ads to replay value.
The online is where its at, It is actually pretty popular. I hear people talking bout it all the time. The Headset also works for it too. The online is really fun too, i enjoyed it.
heres the bottom line.

Pros+
+Fun singleplayer
+funner multiplayer
+The story is good
+Map design is good
+Lengthy single-player
+Sounds are good
+As are the graphics
+Controls rock
+BOSS BATTLES ARE FREAKIN TIGHT

Cons-
-AI can be stupid
-Plot is pretty straight forward
-Difficulty can get out of control

I recrommend this to anyone looking for a really good shooter with a good single-player and awesome multiplayer! I hope this review helps

Syphon Filter: Logan's Shadow - PSP

All around good game

First of all, to start it off, i think this is a great game! it has amazing graphics with great gameplay. My only complaint is that the controls you might have to get used to. They are a bit off from classics such as Halo or Gears of war. I love the unique weapons you can unlock and the tragic ending. People, this is a game that should be on your to get list!

Syphon Filter: Logan's Shadow - PSP

Great game

This is one of the best looking games i've ever seen on the PSP i mean Damn, if you played it you'll know what i mean. Its also loaded with extras, such as hidden evidence, movies, and extra missions. I've yet to unlock all of them because its not easy. Its fun, but if you play it through about 3 times you'll get sick of it. All the extras are a nice feature, but come on sony, did you have to make it so damn hard to unlock them. I beat it through on hard like 3 time and i'm only half way there. Great buy if you don't have it already.
