Wipeout Pure - PSP

some good parts to a WIPEOUT...

As the Sony PSP was launched a few games were released and Wipeout Pure was one of them the game is good but not spectacular. It is somehow a good games as the graphics and details were and still look great. To be honnest the game is not worth over 20$,its good but not a consitant game in any way.Now its around 20$ and considered a greatest hit along with some games like Twisted Metal:Head On,ATV Offroad Furry:Blazin`Trails and more. I just saw the game for 6.50$ and decided to give it a try not bad really but nothing was superb execpt the amazing graphics who are lets face it what saves this game. You are in 2197 you are racing in the fx300 racing league. There are two leagues an easy league and a harder one but they both have same races. Its good the story mode is nice but once you beat it you get a harder mode like advanced and so on they just increase the difficulty of the game. All of the tracks look really nice. The`Race Crafts`as they call it are your vehicle they are some futuristic cars and they can fly about a meter over the ground but cannot go higher. You have 8 models of those flying machines and when you can get shields and some things that are pretty much bombs to defend yourself and attack ennemies. After hitting walls and being bombed by ennemies your health goes down and when you reach 0 youre disqualified from the race, but you can blow up your ennemy too and thats cool. Overral:3.75/5Even with the nice graphics and all you will eventually get tired of this game because its repetitive but its worth a try and it should be interresting to play online against others. There a total of 12 tracks plus you get 4 classic tracks of Wipeout.3 stars at most, good but so repetitive.

Wipeout Pure - PSP

Wipeout Pure

Wipeout pure was one of the first games I purchased for my PSP. I really enjoyed playing endless hours of racing in a futuristic racing title that put a spin on the entire racing genre. The game itself had plenty of great creative new modes that I never saw on any other racing game before, such as zone, a mode where you go at full speed around a circuit course and see how many laps you can complete before your vehicle takes too much damage and blows up. The game was really fun until I had suceeded at winning gold medals in every tournament and difficulty level. That's when the game no longer was the fun it used to be, but still was very enjoyable to play every once in a while when there was a craving for a futuristic, laid back racing game. Wipeout pure is defenitely an addicting game, even after you beat all the levels. The game just never gets old, but the pleasure of going for the gold does wear off after a while. Another great feature of the game was playing multiplayer mode. For now, Wipeout Pure is defenitely a must have game for long road trips, and I'm sure anyone who has played the game will defenitely be on the lookout for any possible sequel that may be released!

Best PSP Launch Title

First off, if love racing games and have a PSP you have absolutely no reason NOT to buy this game. This game is fast-paced and filled with plenty of bonuses and mini-games. There many speed boost panels on the ground as well as power-ups for missles, auto-piolet, etc. This game is a lot like a mix between F Zero racing and Double Dash. F Zero because of its incrediably fast-paced hover cars and use of shields and Double Dash because of the many items you find and use to either damage your oppenant or even destroy them completely. I was never that much of a fan of racing games. That said, this is easily one of the best racers out there and defiantly a much for PSP owners.
