Great stuff

I still like 2k10 better than the EA sports series...I think it has a better balance between arcade- and sim gameplay. Guys, let's face it - it's a video game, so if it's 100% realistic, it gets a little boring, but at the same time you don't want it to be like a hockey equivalent of NBA Jam. Plus, it gets mad props for having Ovie on the cover. Wish there was more in-depth franchise mode, but it's still good.

Also, really stoked on some of the soundtrack selections this year, Eagles of Death Metal are perfect hockey music and I LOVED that they used "Oye Vaya" by Earl Greyhound (a video can be found here )

NHL 2K10 faces stiff competition from EA's NHL 10. Considering the continual amount of improvements that are added every year to its competitor, the 2K series hasn't been given the attention it deserves. Compared side-to-side, 2K10 is not as visually impressive, has less gameplay options available for both offline and online play, and won't be able to hold your attention for as long as NHL 10. It is however, a lot of fun, and in the end that counts for quite a bit.
