Summary
Game Description
DJ Hero by Activision for PS3 is a rhythm-based music game that simulates Turntablism, and features score attack gameplay similar to the Guitar Hero games. The controller consists of a wireless deck consisting of a movable Turntable that supports three "stream" buttons, an effects dial, a crossfader, and a "Euphoria" button; a hidden panel contain additional controller buttons to interact with the gaming console outside of the game. The game features 100 individual songs based on master recordings that are composed into over 80 two-song DJ mixes by both participating internationally-known DJs and an in-house remix team.

Review:
DJ Hero
It was inevitable that Activision would look to expand its rhythm genre empire and DJ Hero is a noteworthy addition to its arsenal. However, it isn't nearly as accessible nor as polished as its current bread and butter franchise, Guitar Hero. Still, it has potential and the music is good enough that it should convince enough gamers to step up to the ones and twos; we're also certain it will warrant a sequel, which we hope will fix some of the issues that bog down an otherwise noteworthy debut.
