I should be used to On-Line gaming by now...
Fight Night: Round 4 is a solid game. The visuals are great, it controls smoothly, and it is very addicting.
The only problem I had with the game was the roster of fighters. Where is Marciano? What about Dempsey and Louis? Why is Gatti in it, and not Micky Ward? Prince Naseem? Floyd Patterson? Tua? Sure, he wasn't that good but he was still better then Tommy Gunn. Spinks? What about Liston? I could go on forever. It's about time they got Mike Tyson in the game. Even my mother was excited about Tyson being in it.
Never before have I been so pissed off at playing a game On-Line, as I was while playing Fight Night: Round 4. I have been playing games On-Line since the beginning, so you figure I would be used to all of the shenanigans you get from other players. EA should have tried to leave out the low blows and head butts On-Line. It hurts the overall experience ( for me anyways ).
Besides these things...I keep playing it, On-Line and off.

Boxing Simulation It Is Not!
Well I guess I should start out by saying that I thought Fight Night Round 3 was a 5 star game. It was realistic, slower than most fighting games, and was very strategic. The only problem I had with it was it's roster (no Marciano)! So when I heard Fight Night Round 4 included Mike Tyson, George Foreman, and plenty of others I ran to the store to reserve it. Unfortunately they turned a great boxing simulation into a fast paced arcade game, including super moves (which the game calls counter punches). After beating the computer easily in many a fight, only to lose because I got hit with 2 or 3 counter punches I quickly sold it online for a $20 loss. Unless you play exclusively with counter punching boxers stay away from this game. Traditional boxers and sluggers will almost always lose to the counter puncher. Guess I'll have to go back and buy Round 3 again...

I have never played a boxing game before ( i know shame on me ) but when i saw this at the video store i said i should rent this. I got home and it was awesome the gameplay is awesome but the unresponsive controls is were the game loses points. If your a boxing fan u probaly already own it so i recommend it to fighting game fans.

Fight Night Round 4 (PS3)
It's hard to forget the first time I landed an orbital-crushing haymaker in Fight Night Round 3: my vicious blow sent ripples across the opponent's cheeks and bodily fluids flying towards the canvas. No other boxing sim since has come close to recreating that amazing combination of visual brutality and gameplay finesse until now -- Fight Night Round 4 is finally here and while it may not have the same revolutionary impact of its predecessor, it's a major step up in nearly every imaginable way.
