PixelJunk Eden - PS3

Different, quirky, unique, but good.

Nowadays, downloadable games are becoming more and more like statements on the PSN. They are like statements that tell you, ''Look at me! I'm a game that isn't a big budget blockbuster. I've got a neat concept, and I'm pretty cheap, too!'' There is no problem with that, because smart, unique games like Pixel Junk Eden are great for those looking for something new, and fun for pick-up and play. I feel that these type of downladable games will keep coming (and should) because this is a great one. It is simple, yet complex, in its own unique way. The visuals are soothing and pretty. The game basically plays the way it looks, and so it's easy to be lulled into the addictiveness that is Pixel Junk Eden. Easy to get into, hard to put down-yup, that's Pixel Junk for you. You can spend various amounts of time with this title, depending on your patience, but it's fun nonetheless. If you're looking for a time waster, I suggest picking this up. Oh, did I mention it has multiplayer?

Quirky game with gorgeous visuals

Pixel Junk has done it again -- Eden is a fascinating little platformer that comes at a cheap downloadable price on the PS3. I really enjoyed the vivid visual and the soothing atmosphere. I had a little trouble figuring out the controls at first (there really is no other game quite like Eden), and it took me a few minutes to figure out how to spin, attach to flowers, and collect pollen. It's a really great idea that makes for a fun game, but Pixel Junk Monsters is still the best game to come out of this innovative studio. Let's see what they come up with next!
