Reviews - Expert Game Recommendations From the GamePros

  • Guitar Hero: World Tour

Guitar Hero: World Tour is the landmark franchise's first foray into group-based band territory, offering up options to not only rock out on the titular guitar but also get your bass groove on, smash your way to stardom on drums, or wail glass-shattering vocals to an impressive selection of popular tunes. World Tour looks to set itself apart from a sea of similarly-minded games by infusing the tried and true band dynamic with the series' unique cartoonish charm, innovative new instrument models and an in-depth music creator which aims to allow users to record and share original tracks over the 'net.

THE BOTTOM LINE: While never quite proving itself as the penultimate virtual rock experience, Guitar Hero: World Tour is a blast in its own right that definitely deserves a look from both veterans of the series and newcomers alike.

Guitar Hero: World Tour - PS3

Pros Cons
Awesome audio Not enough content
Loads of content
Addictive gameplay
Just plain fun
Needs to be rockin'!

What have you done?

Guitar Hero: World Tour is a good game with good graphics and concepts but what ever happened to the large setlist of rock? This game only contains a few good songs such as "B.Y.O.B." and "Re-Education (Through Labor)" but also has pop and country like "Ramblin' Man" and "Beat It", Michael Jackson? What the hell is Michael Jackson doing in a Guitar Hero game? Plus, the game needs more DLC add-ons. There are very few and the only good one is the Death Magnetic album pack. At least they have good songs like "The Day That Never Comes" and "What I've Done." That pretty much is the reason I rated this game 4 stars --- the good songs, not the ones that suck!
