What a game. It looks amazing, I mean the visuals are stunning and so polished. The feel when you are outside the hull or in zero gravity is so well done. It feels real. The lighting and sound are excellent. The mood is creepy as hell. The gameplay is awesome and controls are tight. The dismemberment shooting is so awesome and satisfying, just upgrade the plasma cutter and start blowing limbs off. The no HUD is a nice touch that makes it seam more real and the way they use video and audio as a projection hologram is very clever. Boss fights are excellent. There are many moments that make you jump because of the way they can pop out from anywhere. Just a great gaming experience especially for hardcore survival horror gamers like me, which is really all I like when it comes to non sports games. Right up there with RE 1 and 4 and Silent Hill 1 and 2. A must play, please make a sequal!!

What an innovative survival horror game from....EA???? Yes, EA. The gaming company that, most of the titles that they put out, have little to no polish in them at all, or just plain horrid. This game is polished to perfection. To the eerie audio and sound, to the innovative and intense action, and the engrossing story, Dead Space is a one of a kind game. Delivers extreme scares...One thing I was worried about this game, was level design. Would it get repetitive, tons of backtracking, but it doesn't. Every level, even if you go through it again, always feels fresh....Without a doubt, this is definitely worth the $60 that you pay. Alot of game today just don't do that. Even though its just a single player game, its got tons of replay value...This is a must buy for survival horror geeks and just a gamer looking for a great experience with a game. Huge props to EA Redwood Shores, you made me not hate EA anymore, keep it up.

My god, this game is the best ever. If you think it sucks, you either have mental problems, or a horrible taste in gaming. Great graphics and textures, bone-chilling enemies, and great action.The only bad part about it is that it's pretty much a get from point a to point b, other then that its great.

The storyline is totally B-movie, but everything else about this game is first-rate. This is the first horror game I've played that out-Resident Evil'ed RE4. The enemies are vile, the weapons are vicious, and the atmosphere is untouchable. This is a must-play game (and wait until you see some of the bosses!)

This game is incredible. I had been looking forward to it's release since about a year ago when i was immediately intrigued by a Game Informer Cover with an amazing illustration for this game. To be honest, this game surpassed my every expectation.

One of the shining attributes of this game are the breathtaking graphics. Every detail of the immense, spine-chilling mining ship that you traverse throughout this game will amaze you, they sure as heck amazed me. The unique design of each separate section of the ship gives every chapter of this engaging story a feeling of it's own. The whole experience is improved even more so by the magnificent lighting effects that are present throughout the entire game. Yet another aspect that i cannot forget to mention quickly is the awesome stinking suit that the main character, Isaac Clarke, wears in this game. Although it sounds slightly ridiculous,his suit is probably one of the main reasons i purchased this game. Anyway, i have played both the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions of this game, and both will graphically blow you away.

Although i can't cover every detail why i believe this game is a must buy, i'll briefly mention a few other things. The audio is extremely well done and will strike terror into your very bones. The controls are also quite splendid and will not enrage you due to their unresponsiveness. The story is engaging and mysterious and allows for multiple play throughs. The weapons are awesome and are able to be upgraded. And the hologram, health, and ammo system in the game are ultra radical!! All of these elements come together to form a magnificent game that will scare the urine out of you on several occasions. Buy this game... right now!!
