Wet by Bethesda for PS3 is a highly-stylized third person shooter that blends gun play, sword kills, and over-the-top acrobatics. As Rubi Malone (voiced by Eliza Dushku), a gun-for-hire, you can shoot anywhere, anytime, and have the freedom to shoot while running, sliding down ladders, sliding across the floor, or performing any number of acrobatic moves. Wet features an ironic mix of humor and violence, unique retro film visual treatment, and original 70s inspired music. Rubi's job is to fix a wealthy man's problem by finding and bringing back his wayward son. She thinks the job is going to be simple; she thought wrong.

It rains more in Etheopia

OK. I would like to start that my grandmother's vag' is wetter than this dried overused towel that has hit shelves recently. After seeing interviews from the games creator's criticizing that no other hack and slash games have ever done what this game has done. After playing it I thought "suck this much?" The game gets repetative after the first level. It's almost as annoying as being tied down to a chair next to a crying baby. Annoying. Ok the controls aren't very responsive and sometimes can get you in trouble. The graphics aren't anything special, and the story is old dry, and been done harder than Paris Hilton's debut on the internet. This game is worth playing the demo and if it makes it inside your home i hope there is a blockbuster stamp next to it. Don't waste your money cause after you beat it you're going to wish you read the Secret Garden again, from your days in middle school. Atleast the secret garden had someone watering the plants. The only great thing about this game is Elisha Dushku. Peace out, and it was better in following the progress of this games arrival than actually playing it. SUX/ UNCHARTED 2 is going to own.

Wet...cut & dry.

If you go into this game expecting the next evolution of the action adventure/hack-n-slash shooter, you're setting yourself up for disappointment. WET isn't the next evolution and playing the game, you get the idea that the developers meant for it to be this way.

The visuals are o.k., nothing spectacular but they get the job done. The dirty film filter over the screen as you play the game gives it that old B-Movie feel which is kind of cool, if you're into that, but you do have the option to turn it off which makes the visuals even better.

Control wise, the game is responsive, but the animation is clunky, repetitive (like the enemy types you will fight) and the environments call for platform elements that work sometimes well, and not so much in during the times you need it to.

The highlight feature of the game is when Rubi (the main character) goes into rage mode with makes the game look like an updated version of Mad World. In this mode you become a body blender and rip through enemies with ease and efficiency. Quick time events are also included, but they are not overdone to the point it becomes a crutch for the game.

If you have played the demo, you may already know what WET is about and have made your mind up on whether you would buy it or not. But if you haven't try it, and see that even though it's not GOTY material, it is worth a look.
