swim, shoot and climb your way to buy this game right now

If your even vaguely intregued by tomb raider or is a fan of naughty dog's games than get this game right now. Graphics: the graphics in uncharted are beautiful water ripples realisticly trees blow gracefully in the wind. They even go to such details as to let you see your shirt sundry after you take a swim in the games many puddles and lakes. The character models are also somthing to brag about as the characters move realisticly with every turn run and jump that they make. The clothes ripple and crinkle realisticly with every move that the characters make. Audio: The audio is also somthing to brag about as you wander around the vast and deeply detailed jungle you will hear birds chirping in the distance. You will hear water hitting the ground when it rains. You will hear waterfalls rushing out of or on top of a mountain. All these things are just the icing on the cake as everything else is so detailed and thought through. Gameplay: The gameplay in uncharted drakes fortune is like a mix between a very very good tomb raider game and gears of war. The shooting feels natural to the way the game plays. The cover system is also really fun and responsive. The story is also easy to keep up with. Well that about sums up uncharted drakes fortune. So anyone who feels confident about this game being good (wich it is) than get this game right now. So go out buy this game and swing shoot swim jump climb and take cover on your way to eb games or your local game store and buy this game.

Exellent!

This game is interesting. It has no multiplayer, a semi predictable story line, and the game play is similar to other shooter games. Yet it stands out among the rest. The story line, though slughtly predictable was gripping. The game play was great and was satisfying The graphics were far above mediocre and (the explosions especially) beautiful. I guess my only complaint is the lack of multi player!

Uncharted is Amazing

I am mainly writing this in celebration of Uncharted 2. This game has some truly splendid gameplay elements that are core to any action game. The combat system is nearly perfect while still realistic and hand-tohand combat is innovative and rather awesome. With that being said, I believe Uncharted 2 could sport some new features to make it even better than it's predececessor. The only real boss in Uncharted 1 that is a healthy mix between button mashing and cover tactics. I feel like this should be expanded on and utilized more in U2. Also even though nothing beats bludgeoning people with your fists, that they could add new melee weapons(like that dagger things een in the U2 trailer) each with new combo attacks. Being able to sprint and new and improved vehicles would be welcome as the vehicle based levels in Drake's Fortune are fun, but not as awesome as the rest of the game. The final aspect that would make U2 the greatest game ever is multiplayer. Don't get me wrong, the writers over at Naughty Dog got it right, but it would be so much better if I could play Uncharted with a buddy. Competitive multiplayer would be welcomed and probably innovative as ever, but seems like a little too much to hope for. In conclusion...GET THIS GAME...if you don't have a PS3, run out and get this game NOW. Even after beating this game, you can still try to get the platinum trophy(have fun beating the game on expert) and the game is almost like a summer blockbuster.

Could be better...

I heard about this title, and I was pumped! It looked so fun! When I got it however... it was good, don't get me wrong. It was fun I acutally cared what happenend to Nathan Drake, it was so immeresive that I could barely put it down.

But it's biggest flaws are: It's already been done by tomb raider which ( in my opinion) Invented the genre. its short, REALLY short! by the time I got to chapter 19, my save data said I was 88% done!

In the end (SPOILER!!!) the feel shifts from tomb raider platforming, and intense shootouts, (that felt suspiciously like Gears of war shootouts) to something like resident evil 4, and it's not even in the horror genre! anyway I put it down cause I didn't like scary stuff (back then) and did something else.

But overall, I liked it, it's good where it set up shop. (It can curb stomp tomb raider anytime!) but it wasn't what ps3 owners were expecting from such a prestigious company (naughty dog) so it was fun but I advise this one as a rental.

It's no secret that the PS3 needs hits, and badly. That's why games like Uncharted are so important: They're not necessarily triple-A titles but if they're done right, they can give hungry PS3 owners something to tide them over until games like MGS4 finally arrive.

Yup, this is what Naughty Dog, of Crash Bandicoot and Jak & Daxter fame, has been hard at work on and very secretive about of late. And it is paying off. Uncharted is looking spectacular, and was the most-impressive and surprising game on display this week.
