Eye candy even compared to today's standard.
When I first saw this game it was one of the most enjoyable moments I've ever had while playing video games. When Oblivion came out it set new standard's for ingame visuals and gameplay. Like Fallout 3, play Oblivion, without Oblivion there wouldn't be Fallout 3. Between the two of them if your looking for which is better overall Oblivion is it. Hours of gameplay and replayability this game shows how one game could change what we expect from game delvelopers.

A RPG dream come True!
When I first heard about this game in 2006 after it came out for the 360 and PC, I was totally envious of my cousin, who rubbed the fact that he could play it and I could not in my face. I had a 60GB PS3, and when I found out that it was coming to my system, I was giddy with joy. I bought it the day-after it came out and began engrossing myself within the perils of the land of Tamriel, exploring the land, joining the many different guilds and striving to be the best RPG player for the game. Here is my review:
This game is a masterpiece, from it's wonderful graphics to gripping quests to a final "end-game" with Martin and Lord Dagon. The story is compelling, the amount of content to find, create, or buy is staggering, the quests are many and all so diverse, and the world that the braintrust at Bethesda created is top-notch. My only beef with the game is the sometimes awkward A.I system, the wild overuse of the few voiceovers used within the game, and the somewhat repetitive gameplay. Other than those minor blemishes, it is a wonderful game that any RPG lover will love.
Final Verdict: 5 out of 5 Stars
Pros: Addictive gameplay, loads of content, amazing visuals, epic story that allows you to proceed with what you want when you want, many places to explore and loot, etc.
Cons: Minor issues with A.I system, some annoying audio, an epic story that is so loose that it is confusing, and several minor bugs that hinder performance.

An RPG fans Delight
You wanna game that guarantees immersive roll playing, hours on hours of gaming, and a world big enough that you might not ever see the whole thing? Well pick up Oblivion. How this ONE Blue Ray Disc holds so much material is beyond me. Oblivion is HUGE, and that might be an understatement. I actually bought the game twice. One copy for my PC and a copy for my PS3. Whats the story, well you get to create your character then you enter a world that actually bends on your actions. The AI in this game is top notch and you can actually effect the NPC's around you. Your goal is to close the gates of "HELL" or Oblivion, that have opened in your world, by reuniting a KING to his throne you must compile an Army of men and women to take on the Dark forces of Oblivion. Although this is JUST the main quest. Something you do not have to do. You can spend hours, or better yet MONTHS just doing the outrageous number of side quest. Did I mention this game is HUGE. And if you plan on getting this game, make sure its GOTY. This also offers you the Shivering Isles realm along with the very creative Knights of the Nine. The only thing that kept this game from a 10 score is that I found myself second thinking the Developers on some llittle aspects of the game and wishing you could Sail the seas or Rule an Empire. I also really Hated the LEVELING system they added that keeps all monsters and NPCs gaining power as you gain power. This took alot of the fun from this and I hope the 5th edition removes this Leveling system. In short if you love RPG's then there is NO doubt youll love this one. Hats off the Bethesda for making One HUGE game.

It is up to you to find the true heir to the throne and recover the amulet of kings. Carve your own legacy in this graphical genius of a game.
