In Dark Sector players assume the role of Hayden Tenno, an elite black-ops agent. After being sent to Lasria, a ruinous Eastern European country, Tenno suffers an attack leaving him with a strange infection that gives him super-human abilities. Tenno's infection is said to be the result of experimental Cold War technology and it will cause him to physically transform throughout the game. One result of Tenno's transformation is the Glaive. The Glaive is a disc-like weapon that protrudes from his hand; it can be thrown at enemies and imbued with the powers of fire and electricity among other things. Dark Sector sets itself apart with an integrated HUD - eliminating health bars or ammo meters - intuitive controls and a dynamic camera system.

Well I liked it up till the 6 level then it just got really boring. The grsphic sound are good but the gameplay is just to repetitive and it will annoy and bore you after a while dark sector's online isnt that great either so I bought it but I recommend just rent it That's it That's all

Dark Sector - PS3

a noble effort, but just doesn't deliver

i must admit, i was really stoked about the release of this game....and then it came out, buzzkill. the beatiful graphics and very cool atmosphere do not make up for the lackluster controls, you can use cover, but the only way to aim and use the glaive is to stand out of cover, so as you try to line up your throw, you get pummelled, and to make things worse, when you start to get hit the screen goes blurry so you can't see shit, bs man, bs

DARK Sector

Story wise, the game does well. I especially liked the way the infection spreads and how you get your powerups. Upgrading your guns is a pain in the butt. The underground market only allows for limited upgrades on each, so you end up with multiples of a weapon of your choice. Certain scenes are VERY dark and you can't really see where anything is, so navigating is an issue. Overall, this game is good. Using the glaive is cool and could use some extra powerups. The flame, and electrical glaives being my favorite.

Dark Sector - PS3

Love it so far.....but

Ok so I've never done a game review before so sorry if it sux and its not very informative lol. But here it goes...... When I first started to play dark sector I was very enthused about it, the graphics are nice, the glaive is f'n awesome, and the aftertouch affect just adds to that. Everyone's obviously gotta love the "over the shoulder view" that it offers when in battle (similar to Resident Evil 4 if you havent played this game yet). But yet with all the good things that I have to say about dark sector, I'd have to say the only thing so far that I'am rather dissapointed/aggravated with in the game, would have to be the "upgrade system/store". It seems very shallow to me, and almost boring. That being said, that would have to be one of the only reasons that I'm not giving this game a perfect score. But if you enjoy shooters, and your "like me" and your not so good at real war games, then I would suggest picking this up and giving it a try...you wont be sorry. ok hope I didnt sound too stupid...sorry about the length and thanx for reading my review!

Almost exactly one year has passed since Dark Sector first arrived on store shelves for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. Why this PC port has taken so long is anyone's guess, but don't mistake the delay for any relation to new content or big gameplay tweaks, because this re-release is about as copy-and-paste as they come. But that's not entirely a bad thing.
