Solid FIFA!

This game is a step up from FIFA 06, the rosters are updated, and the game just plays great! The only downside is that this game is more of a challenge. If you liked the scoring fests you had in FIFA 06, than you will be let down that you can only score like 3 goals max, but it does make the game feel less arcady.

Fifa 07 plays well

EA's Fifa Soccer 07 has so much to offer. A great soundtrack. Hundreds of teams from everywhere you imagine. It offers a deep and fun career mode where you control things from the team to ticket prices. However the gameplay is good but could have been better. At times the controls feel clumsy. For example to dribble at top speeds you have to use 3 buttons. The trick stick is a good addition but some moves are hard to do like the flick over head. The graphics are average though some parts are poor. Up close the players are blurry. The player faces show emotion but are average at best. The camera is great. The stadiums are nicely done too.
Fifa is a good soccer game that needs a few improvements to make it really special.

A little less then i expected

I do not know if it is the buzz dying of the world cup or if it is practically the same game. But i feel 06 and 07 are identical, maybe the graphics are a little better. I still played the game a lot but i dont know it seemed too much the same as 07.

Its quite obvious, the ppl at EA actualyy have quite a good idea as to what people want in their football game. A major improvement is in the way the ball reacts. All the talk about rewritten AI engines are actually true, the ball really does react to external distractions like it should. But the goalie problems while minimized, they have not completely disappeared. The goalie can still jump through the net to make saves, and when the goalkeeper makes a save and falls outside the pitch, the game still continues, no corner kick!! On the subject of player realism, they have in the case of most players kept it the same, BUT in some cases they have absolutely DESTROYED the player. In the newer version, C.ronaldo looks like a pig, instead of the handsome guy he is. And as usual they have not managed to get anywhere near replicating ronaldinho's face. On the subject of its music, the absence of prerecorded commentar really stands out, as it was really great to have the likes of D.Beckhams,W.Rooneys greatest moments replayed. The game does not offer much in the extras sector, thought they have done 1 good thin, that is to make the menu multicoloured instead of the dull boring blue that it normally is. On the in game graphics, they really have been presented beautifully. Coupled with the new AI engine, they make FIFA 07 the best footballing game around that money could buy.

With the passing of World Cup, some would wrongly assume the best soccer games had come and gone for the year, but FIFA continues EA's sports dominance with yet another stellar franchise entry. Hot on the heels of EA's own 2006 FIFA World Cup, this latest FIFA title manages to make several notable improvements - though whether or not it's worth purchasing depends not on its merits, but on whether or not you feel like buying a second EA soccer title this year.
