Disgaea 2: Cursed Memories - PS2

Disgaea 1.5

I loved the first one with it's quirky humor and great strategy. I was hoping for bigger things for the sequel. This is more of an expansion pack than a true sequel. There are new characters and story line but the graphics have not been improved much. Look for a few cameos from the first game too. Level design is good and it's still a blast to play. It's just more of the same. If you liked the first one then pick this up. If you're new to the series then this one may be easier to find.

Breaking 100,000 damage just wasn't Enough.

Like Turn-based RPGs? Liked Disgaea? Then you probably should or already do Own Disgaea 2. The majority of the game is the same as it's predecessor but extra add-ons and a fresh story make this one a keeper. A few features to check out in D2: 1) New Senator System for the Dark Assembly, Makes passing bills "legit" more interesting. 2) Felony, Being "bad" reaps Multiple character rewards, yet the laws you infringe are somewhat out-there. 3) Tower attacks are just Plain fun! 4) Extra, Extras, and a few other things to unlock on the side. Also, buying the strategy Guide is a Must for the power gamers. Break-downs on all the formulas and a guide to getting your Ultimate Space Knight.

this game rocks!!!

truly a 2D straegy game worth playing, even if you haven't played the first Disgaea. Since its graphics aren't too mind blowing the gameplay IS the single most compelling aspect of it. deep customization of characters and development, ramdom dungons for the sole purpose of customizing items and a simple but wacky story pulling it all together. I'm 30 hours in an i'm having a blast!

Turn-based strategy titles are a dying breed, but Disgaea 2's hard-core strategy and hyperactive anime aesthetic recall a purer age of RPG gaming. Call it faux-retro or call it low-budget presentation- either way, you won't be disappointed by this nostalgic and engrossing tactical time-eater.
