Summary
Game Description
"Express your shooting style with the all-new EA SPORTS Skill Stick and light the lamp with highlight reel moves such as spinoramas, toe drags, bat-ins, and between-the-legs shots. Classic deke control adds to your arsenal by letting you manoeuvre around defensemen and make goalies dizzy before snapping off dangerous shots that can ripple the twine and knock the water bottle off the net. Own the ice like in the glory days of the EA SPORTS classic NHL '94!"

Not that bad.
NHL 06 is not really a bad hockey game at all. Of course, i don't think that any hockey game will ever be as good as NHL 94. Anyways, this game does have a pretty good soundtrack to complment the good graphics. The announcers do tend to be a little bit annoying, but you can turn them off. This game does have some interesting extras, and you can play as any of the world teams. Overall, this is a good, soild hockey game that comes with a cehap price tag. I recommend either this game, or NHL2K7 if you want a good hockey game.

All around great game
This has to be one of the most solid and addictive sport's tittle's I have ever purchased. Anyone can just sit down play and pick up on it rather fast. The control's being as smooth as they are, it make's it that much easier to learn to play. As easy as it is to pick it up and play, it's hard to master. From the skill stick to the manual deke, bruise control. Also with the open Ice control, making it so you can manually set player's while still controlling the player with the puck. Setting up for better goal oportunities. And the manual shot control, allowing you to put the puck where you want it on the net. All of the feature's just adding to the depth of the game. The dynasty mode has a good amount of depth. It dosen't allow you to get into minor league player development which I would like to see, but overall it is a fun and simple dynasty system that dosent take to long to figure it all out. The detail in the game is great, the video game skater's look just like there on Ice real life counterpart's. The ice fly's off your skate's as you make a tight turn or a quick stop. Leaving trail's on the ice as well, and when you score a goal with a hard hit shot the goalies waterbottle falls off of the net. This game is a great game, and is so much fun that I would suggest this game to anyone even if you arn't a hockey fan. It's fast paced and addictive, if you are a just looking for somthing different go out and get this game.
