Game Description

Alien Hominid (originally a flash game) by O3 Entertainment for PS2 is a 2D side-scrolling platform shooter that blends old-school play mechanics with hand-drawn graphics. While joy riding in its new spaceship, Alien Hominid crash lands in front of FBI headquarters, and narrowly escapes with only its alien hide. Alien Hominid must find its spaceship and get off this rock before its vicious human enemies find it and cart it off to Area 51. Along the way A.H. relies on its deadly melee skills and advanced weapons to out smart the ever-cunning enemies who want to probe it for alien secrets. A prototype version of Alien Hominid has become one of the most downloaded games of all time, with over six million downloads.

Alien Hominid - PS2

along came an alien

this game made it to the ps2 along time ago, and now i am reviewing it. alien homonid is a great game, with that type of arcade-atyled platformer felling inside of you when your playing it, and combined with its cartoony blood and gore, its almost like it wants you to "toss the lunch monkey" if you khow what i mean. the only thing that brought me down is the fact that it is just to old to be considered a 5/5 score, every thing else is perfect.

Not for the Meek

This game is everything that games should have been. 10 years ago. That's not a knock, though. The controls are smooth, the framerate is solid, and the cartoonish style looks nice. It's just so damn hard. This game has unlimited replay value, simply because you'll still be trying to beat the first level 5 hours into it. There are quite a few cheap deaths, but you just have to learn to dodge better. Overall, lovers of 2D games or platformers will enjoy this. Just beware, if you frusterate easily, you will find yourself throwing your PS2 out the window.
