Game Description

NASCAR 2005: Chase for the Cup by EA Sports for PS2 is a stock car racing game. The innovative new career mode, Fight to the Top, has drivers battling for opportunities as they race through the ranks of NASCAR Featherlite Modified, NASCAR Craftsman Truck, and NASCAR Busch Series rides before competing for million-dollar purses in the NASCAR NEXTEL Cup Series and a chance to compete in the newly implemented Chase for the Cup. New features include the Intimidator Button and post-race confrontations (including opportunities to settle disputes with NASCAR stars by racing America's top production cars through city streets).

Better than average

NASCAR 2005, Chase for the Cup is a better than average racing game. The graphics are worse than 2004's, the sound quality is a little worse, and the controls are a lot different. But the career mode is fun to play, and the multiplayer is respectable. Overall, not a bad game, but not the best. A respectable try from EA to make a really good racing game.
