Game Description

Def Jam Fight for NY by EA Games for PS2 is a 3D one-on-one fighting game that challenges players to step into the shoes of a ruthless street fighter battling for control of New York's hip-hop underground. Fight for NY features an all-new fighting engine including weapons, interactive environments, and five unique fighting styles that can be combined to form dozens of customized hybrid fighting styles for the ultimate edge on the streets. The game also features more than 40 of the most well known artists and personalities in hip-hop today, including Busta Rhymes, Carmen Electra, Lil' Kim, Ludacris, Method Man, Redman, Sean Paul, Slick Rick, and Snoop Dogg.

This is the pimpest game I ever played it has everything with the coolest season and fighting it also has cool moves like man up stand up over hard pogostick pop off and alot more I beat it times i like to give them lots of bling with my last guy i spent 512,000 bucks on jewelry. Tip best fighting style to start with is kickboxing then streetfighting.

The last 1 was a good game, but coulda been better. This game improves on it in every way. It has great voice acting, an interesting story, a solid fighting system, top-notch graphics, and fun multiplayer. The only thing this game definitely needs is online play. Then u could take ur created characters online with their stats all the way up.

A Sequel to Definetly buy

The last Def Jam game was a great fighter, thought it had a tacked on feel to it. Def Jam: Fight For NY takes the rapper-fighing gimmick to new and refreshing heights. No longer does it look like they took the graphics and fighting engine from the old N64 wrestling games and put a rap face on it. The graphics are a marvel. Everything form the fighers to the backgrounds to the crowd are greatly detailed. The sound is excellent as ever, packing a collection of old school and new school hits. The newest aspect is the fighting. The new controls are fitted now to use different fighing styles (from street-fighting to submission). But the coolest thing is the new story mode. Now you get to create and customize your own fighter to "climb the ranks" from lackey to legend. The only dissapointing thing is the fact that there's no online play. It would have been so cool to take on other peoples' custom fighters online. But besides that minor problem, Def Jam: FFNY is an excellent fighter, and the perfect game for those who are tired of those WWE games.

DEF JAM:FIGHT FOR N.Y. took be by surprise.I love the whole rappers- fighting-shopping mixture.The mixture makes a tasty milkshake. The fighting starts slow and difficult,but once you get familiar with the controls,you'll be hooked.It's pretty short(about 2 days),but it kicks so much ass you won't care.The graphics are gorgeous. I would recommend it to anybody. RATED M FOR BLOOD,SEXUAL THEMES,STRONG LANGUAGE.EA Games.
