Quite entertaining
the things i love about drakengard are the incredibly large groups of enemies, the huge array of weapons you get, the magic skills that come with them, and his dragon Angeles. i thought it was awesome when i finally unlocked the chaos form for the dragon, but I still havent unlocked every one of the endings. the moveing controls did get a little annoying at times but overall i enjoyed this game very much.

No medieval fun :(
No medieval enthusiast could resist the fire power of a dragon mixed with the audacity of medieval weaponry. Drakengard combines the best of both worlds seamlessly. The player has the ability to flow from reeking havoc with a powerful dragon to jumping off the dragon's back and slaying the enemy with the all mighty sword. With a barrage of weapons to choose from, slaying countless enemies has never been so much fun. The game follows a linear path through a story with a sub-par plot that will have most gamers trying to advance the dialog as quickly as possible. Control of melee attack on the ground is very good and it is very easy to link together some monster combos. There are many different weapons that can be collected and every kill made with a weapon increases its experience points until it levels up. The weapon then has more power and the ability to do longer, more powerful combination attacks. Every weapon is unique in its own way. Weapons can easily be switched during the course of a mission. The air missions that must be completed by only using the dragon tend to be little fun and take quite a few tries to complete. The dogfight system in the air missions is very weak making locking on to your opponent both hard and useless. The melee hacking and slashing, and the rain of fire from the dragon is fun, for a while. Then the game gets repetitive with little innovation as the game progresses. Without a strong plot to keep the player interested, this game is a bust in no time. The game would be better if the player had to fight less pawns with little AI and more higher-level opponents that required strategic moves to defeat. Few people with find this game entertaining for long. I suggest staying away completely, or borrowing it from a friend that was lured into buying it with false hopes of a good medieval dragon game. ~Kevin Nuest

a fun mixture
This game is truly a mixture of several differen games brought into one fun ass game. Bad side, easy, and basic. Good side, plenty of weapons, some fun side quests and characters to get, and you can use your dragon to really tear apart some opponents. Another problem i had and i found this to be my major complaint was that it's merely a dynasty warriors with dragons and a little more to it. Levels can take a long time to clear fighting the same enemies which does tend to bore you after awhile. But if you liked dynasty warriors, you'll love this game.

KILL-EM-ALL FUN
This game is actually fun to play, the controls are easy to manage and the story line is a good one to follow. But as much as I love to blindly destroy countless enimies, the game does get repetative. Seems to be the same levels over and over again with different enemies (sometimes same ones). Thats my only complaint, otherwise the game is alot of fun and the graphics are high quality.

The mix of Dynasty Warriors and Panzar Dragoon
Honestly Drakengard is a great game at least to me, It brings in the one against the army effect from Dynasty Warriors and the Dragon flying, torcing fun of Panzar Dragoon. Sure the enemies are not very diverse but if you look beyond that you might find it rather fun for the simple fact that you have 40 weapons to find and build up and a dragon to level up its pretty fun. You play as Caim a man who is linked to a dragon from what is called a pact. Naturally if you die so does the dragon, (Duh). You are given the task to try and protect a godess and her magical seals from an army that wishes to cause chaos in the word. There are others that join in this cause but can only be accessed during battle. No this is not a multi- player game although I wish it was. The music is ok, repetive but sets the mood perfectly. Gamplay sorta slow but responsive, until you get hit. Sound is great, Voice acting...well decent at best but not perfect. Replay value is alright if your willing to unlock or get every bloody ending and weapon other wise its up to you. Overall I give it a 4.0 because well...its fun and the story is ok.
